A NOW CLEAR & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

TUESDAY 26th/ FEBRUARY 2019.

I was up early again this morning and after a quick freshen up I shot off across the Hospital in Estepona for my appointment at the main ‘Physiotherapy Department’ to continue the treatment on my left-hand, I’m back tomorrow morning. I parked a short walk away, that I spotted, as I was entering the Town.

Before I left I guessed correctly the ‘ Music Quiz ‘ – a 4 second burst – without any clues, on the ‘Andrew Charles Breakfast Show ‘ on “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW “ – it was ‘The Stray Cats ‘ with ‘ Rock This Town ‘ – I’m the first in the draw for Friday’s winner!  Watch this space.

After putting the car away in the underground car park, back in sunny Manilva, I carried on down to our local Butchers in ‘Calle Iglasia’ for some of his excellent Diced Beef for tomorrows ‘Beef Stew/Scouse “ as well as some ‘Chicken Wings’ for another day.

The breeze had dropped this morning as I set off on my travels, it was still grey & overcast but the patchy clouds are slowly clearing, by lunchtime it’s forecast to reach 17 degs+ - over the next couple of the days it’s going warmer, as the breeze drops more, reaching 21 degs+ by the weekend, next week is now starting to look dry & settled, with more sunshine, still hovering on the 22 degs mark, but then the ‘wet-stuff’ could be back later in the week. Watch this space.

See below the beachfront this morning down in Sabinillas.

Meanwhile over in the ‘UK’ yesterday, it was the hottest day ever on record, for February, as it reach 20 degs+! Sadly over in Everett, Ontario, Canada they had severe blizzards, heavy snow and very cold winds, it was so bad the they stopped the snow ploughs going out and the folks stayed at home for the day! “ Take care when you are next out & about “ !!

“ Keep wrapped up “ !

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Chicken Schnitzels ‘ using flattened ‘Escalope’s of Chicken Breast’ – ‘pannied’ in local breadcrumbs from the Bakery, then sautéed in shallow Vegetable Oil, until crisp & golden, garnished ‘ Holstein’ style with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg, Anchovy Fillets & Baby Capers, resting on a pool of Tomato Salsa and served with lots of Lemon Wedges, accompanied  with my version of  ‘ Spaghetti Milanese’ ( tossed in Tomato sauce with sliced Smoked Ham ) & Broccoli Florets and finely sliced ‘ French’ Green Beans.

This afternoon we will be watching all the programmes that we follow as well as the ‘ Quiz Shows’ – Later after supper it’s the next episode of the excellent “ Shetland “  on BBC TV. Last night we watched a new programme on Channel 5 – ‘ Around the World on a Train’ but we didn’t like the presenter ‘Sir Tony Robinson’ ( Baldrick)  – we should have caught the new “ This Time with Alan Partridge “ as Steve Coogan brought back the ‘ consummate broadcaster’ character after many years away! It got ‘ Rave’ reviews in all the newspapers this morning.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
