A VERY COLD, GREY & OVERCAST MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 18th/ FEBRUARY 2019.

We had a little lie in this morning before freshening up, I was on the breakfast rota so we started the week with ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ – open on brown for Brenda – smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce, with mugs of hot tea.

I then shot down to Sabinillas, first to the main ‘ Medical Centre’ to make a new appointment for my monthly ‘ V12’ injection ( tomorrow afternoon) then onto the ‘Office’ to re-book the appointment to renew my ‘Spanish Driving Licence ‘ ( Wednesday morning) When I returned I made a couple of phone calls, one to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ to chase up appointments ( no joy!) – I will try again later, and the other to finalize a ‘Bank’ Transaction. ( success!) Watch this space.

This morning it’s started cold, grey & overcast, with a stiff breeze, yesterday afternoon it went warm & sunny, for the first time in ages, later it will only reach 15/16 degs, during the night it’s staying a little warmer, hovering on the 11/12 degs mark, the rest of the week and over the weekend is staying the same, with some sunshine at times, patchy clouds and a light breeze, still with the threat of the ‘ wet-stuff’ in the air, next week is looking a little more settled and warmer, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having the rest of the ‘ Cold Roast Shoulder of Pork’ – which was very juicy & tasty, with all the leftover Vegetables & Potatoes. The ‘ Menu’s’ for the rest of the week are still ‘TBC’ Watch this space.

Last night we settled down and watched the first episode of the excellent “ Baptiste “ – Tcheky Karyo as the Detective and Tom Hollander as strange ‘Uncle’ of the missing girl, are both mesmerising in the gripping and intense crime thriller, it all started with a shock murder ( plastic bag over the head ) – the ‘ missing ‘ girl is soon found by the Detective, human trafficking in Amsterdam at his centre of investigations, at the end a decapitated head on a shelf ?!  Watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
