A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 23rd/ AUGUST 2018.

We had a nice long lie in this morning as the village was quieter than normal, after freshening up I was on the breakfast rota so we had ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce, open on brown, as usual, for Brenda, with mugs of strong tea. We then got the shopping list ready for tomorrow morning when I’m going down to Sabinillas on my travels, for the weekly shopping etc.

Later today I’m starting the process to download/install the new ‘ IPTV’ English TV system, with the help of Lee, it’s all been checked out, we even spoke to an English friend in the village who recommended it as well, I will have to register/start the billing and Lee is going to call in to install it for me! Watch this space.

After another hot & clammy night ( 21 degs+) this morning has started a little overcast, but by lunchtime it’s due to be back to warm & sunny, hovering on the 29 degs mark, tomorrow and over the weekend we are in for more of the same, getting a little hotter at times, next week on the forecast it’s now showing ‘Rain’ on Monday, the ‘wet-stuff’ has been showing inland on the ‘TV1’ weather forecasts, but as there is a light to stiff breeze showing, at times, it could reach us, then the rest of the week and over the ‘ Vendimia Wine Festival’ weekend it’s looking very warm & sunny, normal for the time of the year, watch this space.

See below sunrise this morning over the beach down in Sabinillas.

This evening, as usual on a Thursday, at this time of the year, it’s the ‘Head Chef’s & Staff’ night-off, so we will be popping along to ‘ Bar Castillo’ for our supper, on Friday it will be our ‘Fish Night’ – then on Saturday, at the moment, it will be our ‘ Steak Night’ – Sunday is still ‘TBC’  -watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
