I was up early this morning to welcome back
little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, the only one this week, as usual, she
shot upstairs and joined us on the bed for a little further lie in, before
going into her duvet. After freshening up we had our regular light breakfast of
‘ Weetabix’ fresh fruit, toast & tea.
I then popped along to the local Bank in ‘
Calle Mar’ to pay our electricity bill, the ‘ Council’ workmen are putting up
more of the coloured triangular ‘Canopies’ along the street, they are nearly up
to outside the Town Hall, Brenda then shot along to the Chemists for our prescriptions
and then on the way back she called into the local shop in our street, for some
local essentials.
On this morning ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2
& Online on the WWW’ – ‘ Breakfast Show’ the music quiz was easy, it was
the old classic “ Tequila “ by ‘ The Champs’ – I was one of the first to guess
it correctly!
Overnight the wind got up, this morning
surprisingly it’s still a little grey and overcast, with patchy clouds and
still a light breeze, the sun is trying to break through, by lunchtime it’s
forecast to reach 34 degs+ - just like yesterday when it went very hot later in
the day, from tomorrow it’s going a little cooler, hovering in the low 30s,
dropping to the high 20s over the weekend, next week on one or two of the
weather forecasts it’s starting to show that it will be partly cloudy with
patchy to moderate rain at times?! Very unseasonal, to say the least! Watch
this space.
See below the cruise liner the “ Celebrity
Eclispe “ berthed at the Pier Head in Liverpool yesterday, for the third time
this year!
At lunchtime we went along to ' Bar Castillo ' for a cool drink and bumped into a nice English couple from Dover, Billy & Julie, who are staying at a family apartment below the village, with their grown-up family, we had a nice chat and gossip, about life in sunny Manilva.', nice to meet you and hope to see you again.
For our supper this evening we are having,
at Brenda’s request, ‘Omelettes of Choice ‘ – Cheese for her ( Grated Mild
Cheddar/Parmesan) and a ‘ Paysanne ‘
filling for mine ( sautéed/diced assorted vegetables/potatoes/Ham ) with finely
sliced ‘ French’ Green Beans and twice-cooked, hand-cut ( Second Chef ) ‘Stringfellow
‘ Frits – in the Basket!
' Cheese Omelette '
'Paysanne Omelette '
We are suffering from ‘ Doggy Withdrawal Symptoms ‘ as last night was the first time in over 10 weeks that we didn’t have a dog with us, when we went out for our last walks of the day, everybody was asking ‘ Where’s’ the Dog’?! - as we sat in the cooling night air, with a slight breeze blowing. At the moment we have no other bookings in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ for now, watch this space.

After supper we will be channel hopping to
find something to watch, last night it was all food programmes, ‘ Great British
Menu, Nadiya’s Family Favourites & Jamie Cooks Italy’ – before a very interesting
programme about ‘ Bollywood’ with Anita Rani.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
