Just a little lie in this morning, we then freshened
up before breakfast, I was on the duty rota this morning so we had ‘Toasted
Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ as usual, open on brown for Brenda with mugs of
strong ‘PG’ Tips tea, to start the week in the right direction!
We have a very quiet week in ‘ Doggy World
Heaven’ – we are still waiting to hear when little princess ‘ Reina’ is back
with us this week, we have a lady coming to see us about her miniature
Pinscher, for a holiday in September and I have just had an enquiry, for a ‘Jack
Russell’ for a couple of nights, meanwhile ‘ Chispa’ is in & out all the
time looking for any friends to play with, as well as to see us!
After breakfast I went along the local Bank
to pay the Water Bill, the ‘ Council’ workmen are back out in force putting up
the coloured triangular Canopies, past the top of our street now, all the new
waste bins are now in use, the work on
the new flagging on the terrace, above ‘Calle Mar’ is progressing slowly, I don’t
think it will be finished by the ‘ Vendemia Wine Festival’ - on the first
weekend of September, watch this space.
This morning has started a little grey & overcast, the sun has not broken through yet, the sky is clearing slowly, as there is just a slight breeze, blowing up from the Mediterranean, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 29 degs+ - the rest of the week is the same, with patchy clouds and still some of the ‘ wet-stuff’ over the weekend, which is sadly the time for the ‘Feria’ down in Sabinillas, still warm & sunny at times, hovering in the low 30s, overnight in the low 20s, it’s still clammy during the night, the following week is starting to look warm, sunny & dry, in the high 20s, in time for the ‘Vendemia Wine Festival weekend! – usual for the time of the year, watch this space.

See below the new ‘ Horizon Shine’ Cafe on
the promenade of Colwyn Bay, North Wales.
Just a very quick update on the football
results; Manchester City won 6-1 & Real Madrid won 2-0, oh and yes
Manchester Utd lost 3-2 to Brighton! Liverpool play this evening.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘Pan-Seared
Medallions of Pork Fillet’ finished in a Lime Butter salsa, garnished with
seared Button Mushrooms, with a small selection of fresh local Vegetables &
‘ Rissole’ Potatoes, accompanied with a sauceboat of a creamy ‘Green Peppercorn’
sauce. The rest of the week we are taking one day at the time, not forgetting
the ‘ Head Chef & Staff’ night off on Thursday, watch this space.
We will be catching up with all the ‘ Quiz
Shows’ that we follow this afternoon and then later this evening after supper
we will channel hop to find something to watch, last night we caught the final
episode of police/murder drama, starring
Nicola Walker & Sanjeev Bhaskar, in the excellent “ Unforgotten “ – I won’t
give the plot away by telling you who the killer of the young girls was, watch
it to find out!
Thoughts for the Day ; See above.
