I was up early this morning to see little
princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she shot upstairs and joined Brenda
on the bed for a little lie in, she then goes on her duvet, outside my
office/studio for the morning, she is back with us next Thursday, then the
following week on Monday/Tuesday with a sleep over on the Monday, just a 'Percy' arrives on the Tuesday morning.
I then had a quick freshen up and shot off
on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping as the sun was coming
up above the Mediterranean. I had my usual quick toast & tea in ‘ ItZabar ‘
before fighting my way through the ‘masses’ in ‘ Mercadona’ !
I then called into the ‘ English Bookshop’
for a birthday card and the local newspapers before going along to the far end
of the promenade to the local market for some fresh flowers and a nice ‘Turenza’
plant for the lounge.
‘Chispa’ was waiting back at our house to
welcome me back and see little princess ‘ Reina’ – ‘ Charlie’ – her boyfriend
has just arrived and is staying for a sleep over this evening, only! He’s his
usual self, full of love and friendship, we just love having him with us in ‘
Doggy World Heaven’- even just for one day/night, as he’s such great company.
I have just set up a new ‘PayPal’ account,
with the help of Lee, who comes online on my system from his office in
Gibraltar, I now have all the necessary usernames & passwords etc, as this
evening Lee is calling in to install the new ‘ IPTV’ system, watch this space.
PS; Up and running !!
As I said above, the sun broke through earlier this morning and the sky was bright blue by the time I was out & about, by lunchtime it’s forecast to be 34 degs+ overnight 24 degs, tomorrow it could be even hotter, then on Sunday it will be a little cooler, all good news for the ‘ Sabinillas Feria’ this weekend – next week is now looking more settled, with patchy clouds at times, but a little breeze helping to move them away, it will be warm & sunny, hovering on the 30 degs mark, leading up to the ‘ Vendemia Wine Festival ‘ weekend! Watch this space.
See below a picture taken by Annette, Jeff’s
wife, of ‘Lake Coorathaba’ on the Noosa River in
Queensland, Australia.
For our supper this evening we are keeping
things very simple, ‘Pan-Seared Fillets of Hake’ – dusted in seasoned flour and
finished ‘A La Meuniere’ – the word itself means “ Miller’s Wife “ – first dredging it in flour! – with a Brown Butter,
chopped Parsley & Lemon sauce, ( an unelaborate rustic nature!) –
accompanied with finely sliced ‘French’ Green Beans and Parsley New Potatoes,
all the fresh leaf Parsley comes from our local shop at the bottom of street ‘
Free ‘ !!
So hopefully ‘ Fingers Crossed ‘ and with
the help of my highly trained ‘ IT’ person, Lee, will be back online with the
new ‘English TV’ system, in time for all the weekend sport, watch this space.
" IT WORKED " !!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
