A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA, WITH A LIGHT BREEZE, ON MONDAY AT THE START OF A ' HELLUVA' WEEK !

MONDAY 4th/ JUNE 2018.

I was up first this morning to welcome back little princess ‘ Reina ‘ for the day, she shot upstairs into her duvet, we then sorted ourselves out for the day ahead, we had a quick toast & tea and then shot down to Sabinillas to the main ‘ Medical Centre’ as Brenda had her re-arranged appointment with our Doctor, Natalia, for a review/check up.

It turns out that the ‘ Heart Consultant’ that Brenda saw the other week, at the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ is the top ‘ Cardiovascular Surgeon/Specialist’ in Andalusia!  His diagnosis was that Brenda has a ‘Congenital Heart Condition/Disease’ that is under control and looking better then the last check up, all her readings have improved, he’s adjusted her medication/tablets, to manage & control things, with a six-month review, meanwhile Natalia is monitoring her on-going results, with more blood tests over the next two months, before her next appointment with the ‘ Kidney Consultant’

The ‘ No Alcohol’ regime is to continue!

On the way back we called into the local ‘Garden Centre’ for some more wall plants, as the breeze over the past couple of days, up our street, has thinned out/blown away some of the main plants! I then stopped at the main Garage in Sabinillas to top up the petrol and wash the car, to be ready for the visit of Jason & Donna on Thursday, they are on the 6-00 am flight into Malaga, so will be with us, here in sunny Manilva before lunchtime, he has just sent us a ‘Facebook Message’ so we have all our contact details “ Watch this space.

At lunchtime ‘ Paddy’ is due to arrive for his extended two-month holiday, ‘Chispa’ has already been in & out and will meet him later, ‘ Reina’ met him last week, we will settle him in and get into a daily routine with him, he’s got all his normal food and lots of things to keep him happy, he has two beds, one in the lounge and the other in the bedroom! Watch this space.

He's just arrived !

This morning started a little grey & overcast but as the breeze cleared away the clouds, the sun broke through and the sky is now bright blue, by lunchtime it will be hovering on the 24/25 degs+ mark, over the next few days we are in for more of the same, Thursday will be just right for the visit of Jason & Donna, not too hot, a little cloudy at times on some days, but warm & sunny, getting warmer over the weekend and into next week, watch this space.

The 'Council' Painters have started this morning to give the 'Town Hall' a.,freshen-up, which was needed, the scaffolding is shooting up, at the same time the 'Contractors ' workmen have also started on preparing the spots along the main flagstones for the new 'Planters' - see below.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Escalope’s of Pork Schnitzel’ – using local breadcrumbs from the Bakery, ‘Pan-Seared’ in foaming Lemon Butter, until brown & crisp, served with lots of Lemon Wedges, resting on a bed of ‘ Spaghetti Milanese ‘ ( tossed in a Tomato salsa with chopped Smoked Ham)  and topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs, Capers & Anchovy Fillets, ' Holstein' style - accompanied with finely sliced French’ Green Beans! A classic dish from the past!!

This evening before/after supper we will be catching up with all the Quiz Shows that we follow ‘  Countdown, The 100K Drop, Pointless ‘ etc – tomorrow one of the series that we follow is returning, last night we watch the final of ‘ Britain’s Got Talent ‘ as the ‘Lost Voice Guy’ won!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
