I was up early the morning to welcome back 'Reina' for the day, after a quick freshen up and went down to the Council Office to arrange the payment for our private spot in the underground Council Car Park, for another year, after being directed to one office, below, were I found out that there is a technical problem with our car transfer documents ( another day !) - I ended up back at the Town Hall, where three departments/offices later, I found the right person!
Meanwhile back at the house Brenda &
‘Paddy’ had a nice lie in, after another ‘ hot’ night, when I returned they
went out for the first walk of the day
and when they returned we had our normal ‘ Weetabix’ fresh fruit ( Bananas )
toast & tea.
As you can see below‘ Paddy’ is sat on the ‘secretaries’
chair in the office/studio, next to the computer system and two screens, as I’m
typing/ posting today’s Blog, he’s listening to some music to pass the time
away!!
The sun broke through first thing this
morning and the sky had cleared and was bright blue by the time I was out &
about on my travels! There is still a light breeze which keeps it very pleasant,
especially in the shade, by this afternoon it will reach 25/26 degs+ - the rest
of the week and over the weekend is staying the same, getting a little hotter,
at times, next week is going to be very settled, warm & sunny hovering in
the high 20s/ low 30s – watch this space.
We have just come off the ‘ Skype’ video
with Jack & Lyn over in a rather cold & damp Melbourne, Australia, they
are both fine, Jack is taking things very easy and stays on the ‘ oxygen’ all
the time now, Lyn had been out with Annette for the day, they were up to date
with all our news after catching up with the Blog, as Lyn says to Brenda ‘ Your
card is in the post ( sent 6th June!) - watch this space.
Yesterday the ‘ Council’ workmen erected this year’s Satirical ‘ Themed Bonfire’ down on the beachfront in Sabinillas, for this year’s “ Noche de San Juan” Festival on Saturday evening, each year there is a different theme, so it’s the ‘ Circus’ this year with some characters on the bottom left you might recognise!

Homemade Beef Burgers ‘ from our local Butchers, one a ‘ Cheese Burger’ for

This afternoon/ evening we will be
following the ‘ World Cup Football ‘ from Russia as Spain play Iran later, ‘Royal
Ascot ‘ was very exciting yesterday as Frankie Dettori ( The greatest jockey ) had
a winning ‘ treble ‘ with more good rides to come today, at the various ‘Tennis’
matches, over in the UK, all the English ladies lost and Andy Murray on his
return from injury, after a year, also lost. We also caught up with the final Stage
of the ‘ Ladies Tour ‘ Cycling, which finished on Sunday along the promenade in
Colwyn Bay, it passed all the place we know including an old friend ‘ Nino’s
Cafe’ on the front in Rhos-on-Sea!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
