A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 19th/ JUNE 2018.

I was up early this morning to welcome back little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, she shot into her duvet, as usual, she’s back with us tomorrow also, ‘Paddy’ slept well moving from our bed to the floor and then back, they are getting on with one another fine, ‘Chispa’ is calling in all the time to see us and her friends, we then carried on and had a little lie in before getting the day on the go, after freshening up we took ‘Paddy’ out for his first walk of the day, we go out at lunchtime, then again in the early evening, as it’s starting to cool, we sit in the ‘ Plaza de la Vendimia’ and take in the sights & sounds, later, last thing at night, we pop out with him just around the block.

When we returned I made ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties ‘ – open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of strong, hot tea. We are having an easy day, at home, relaxing and basically doing nothing!

Today the sun was out early and the sky was bright blue by the time we were out & about, there is still a very slight breeze keeping it very pleasant, on the shady side of the street, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 26 degs+ - overnight the temperatures is hovering on the 19/20 degs mark, which is manageable, the rest of the week and over the weekend we are in for more of the same, getting hotter at times, in the low 30s, next week we are in for more of the same, watch this space.

This coming weekend, on Saturday evening, it’s the annual “ Noche de San Juan “ – the festival celebrated around the World during Midsummer, down on the beach in Sabinillas, with the grand bonfire, followed by a firework display, with lots of eating, drinking, dancing & singing, by tradition you jump across the embers of the bonfire, then dip your feet in the sea, while making a wish!

This afternoon we will be watching the opening day of ‘ Royal Ascot’- as well as the Tennis from the ‘ Queens Club’ as Andy Murray makes his long-awaited return from injury, at the same time there is the ‘ World Cup’ Football from Russia.

For our supper this evening we are having a small ‘ Fish Pie’ that we deep-froze last week, with Wilted Spinach & Garden Peas, on Wednesday it’s going to be ‘ Homemade Burgers’ with salad & twice-cooked ‘ Stringfellows’ – Thursday is find something in the fridge day and then on Friday we are out for a ‘Tapas’ lunch locally, and in the evening we are going out to celebrate Brenda’s 75TH Birthday at ‘ Venta Garcia’

The family & friends cards have started to arrive, from around the World, on Friday lunchtime we have arranged a ‘ Skype’ video call with Sandra & Bill, over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, before they set off for work! Over there they are in the middle of a heatwave, in the low 40s, with high humidity, meanwhile over in Melbourne, the folks have very cold & wet weather fronts hitting them!

This evening we will no doubt channel hop and fins something to watch!
