A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 11th/ JUNE 2018.

We had a little lie in this morning as there is no ‘ Reina’ joining us in Doggy World Heaven ‘ as it’s a ‘ Bank Holiday ‘ in Gibraltar! We are waiting to hear when she is back with us this week.( Thursday only!) I’ve just had a message from Daniela.

Today it’s ‘Paddy’s’ 1st anniversary ( 1 week!) – he’s sat on my knee as I’m typing/posting the Blog, we took him out earlier, for his first walk of the day, he’s now very much ‘ at home’ and has settled in very well, we love having him around, he such great company and a real character, he loves going out with us, he now goes up to bed when we do!

When we returned I treated us to my now famous ‘  Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’- smothered in ‘ HP ‘ Brown sauce, open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of strong ‘ PG Tips’ tea, to set us up for the week ahead.

Tomorrow evening we are walking down to the local surgery, by the sports complex, as we have an appointment with the ‘ Council Chiropodist’ – which is ‘ free’ – in the morning I’m dropping down to the main ‘Medical Centre’ in Sabinillas as I have to make an appointment with the Nurse for my monthly ‘B12’ Injection, last time they took me in straight away so I’m taking my capsules with me, just in case! On Friday, as usual, I will be out on my travels back down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, watch this space.

The sun was out early and the sky is already bright blue, there is a very light breeze, making it just another perfect day, our favourite time of the year, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 26 degs+  - the rest of the week is now looking the same, getting warmer by the weekend, hovering in the high 20s, up to 19 degs overnight, next week is looking even hotter, going up to the low 30s, watch this space.

See below an aerial picture, taken over the weekend, of the ‘ Puerto de la Duquesa Marina’

After our lunchtime walk with ' Paddy' we ended up at ' Bar Castillo' for a nice cool drink, sat under the umbrella in the warm sunshine, with a nice breeze blowing along ' Calle Mar '

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Cold Roast Loin of Pork ‘ – sliced and served with a small selection of the left-over Vegetables and the rest of the ‘Goose-Fat’ Roast Potatoes, we love having ‘ cold-cuts’ of any roast meat, the menu’s for the rest of the week are still ‘TBC’ – watch this space.

Over the weekend in Liverpool the cruise liner the “ Royal Princess “ with over 3500 passengers, was berthed at the Pier Head, as you can see below, I must say that the ‘ Terminal’ dosn’t look too salubrious, to say the least, for an ‘International’ Cruise Liner destination?!

Last night after supper we settled down to watch the first episode of the new series of “ Poldark “ – a cracking start to the tale, with all the main characters at their best ( the same actors!) – heartbreak and heroism is back, love lost, new babies, family saved from the Gallows, baddies nasty as usual, watch this space.

PS; In the lunchtime post there was the first 'birthday card' ( from Manchester ) as Brenda's birthday is coming up, a rather special one this year!

PPS; Also a beautiful post card from Sandra & Bill sent on their visit last weekend, in the new trailer, to the 'Bruce Penninsula' to the picturesque village of Tobermory, on the tip of the penninsula, were it's famous for all the shipwrecks in Lake Huron, one of the 'Great Five Lakes ' -  a ' Scubadivers' heaven!  " Thanks "

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
