A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 13^th/ JUNE 2018.

We managed a little lie in this morning, after a quick freshen up we took ‘ Paddy’ for his first walk of the day, he had a good sleep, on the bed, after eating all his supper last night! He also had a long walk down to the local surgery, by the sports complex, we took some water and a little tray for him to have a drink, for our appointment with Carmen, the ‘Council Chiropodist ‘ who always does an excellent job, the surgery is looking very smart as it’s been totally refurbished.

After our regular breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ fresh fruit, toast & tea, I have shot up to the office/studio to catch up on the ‘WWW’ – check the ‘ E-Mails/ Facebook messages etc, read the newspapers, before typing/ posting today’s Blog, Brenda is pottering in one of her ‘ ing’ modes!

We have another glorious day here in sunny Manilva this morning, the sun is already hot and the sky has cleared and is bright blue, there is just a slight breeze, keeping it very pleasant to be out & about, by lunchtime it will be hovering on the 28 degs+ mark, tomorrow it’s due to break the 30 degs barrier for the first time this year! The rest of the week and over the weekend is looking the same, even getting a little warmer, next week we are in for a ‘ hot one’ – hovering in the high 20s, watch this space.

Yesterday afternoon when we were speaking to Sandra, Jeff & Annette, over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, on the ‘ Skype’ video Jeff & Annette were just setting off to ‘ Niagara Falls ‘ and have posted some very spectacular pictures as you can see below.

Meanwhile Sandra was going across to Ottawa to stay with her daughter, Alanna (Lanner!) for the night as today she has her ‘ second Graduation Ceremony ‘ – watch this space for the pictures later!

After our lunchtime walk with ' Paddy' we all ended up sat outside ' Bar Rojas' under the umbrella in the very hot sunshine for a nice cool drink, taking the sights & sounds of a very quiet sunny Manilva. 

This evening for our supper we are having ‘ Pan-Seared Lambs Liver ‘ – lightly dusted in seasoned flour, then ‘ flashed’ on a very hot griddle-plate, with Crispy Smoked Bacon & Grilled ‘English’ Pork Sausages, accompanied with Glazed  Baby Carrots & Cabbbage with Acelgas and ‘ Parsley New Potatoes, served with a Red Wine, Onion & Mushroom Salsa.

This afternoon/evening we will be catching up with all the ‘ Quiz Shows’ that we follow, ‘Countdown, The 100 K Drop, Pointless’ etc before channel hopping, last night it was the last in the current series of ‘ Later with Jools Holland ‘ – featuring ‘Niles Rodgers & Chic ‘ – ending with the old classic “ Good Times “  from 1979, it brought back many happy memories of the time when we went across to Manchester to see ‘Chic’ – we were dancing & singing in the aisles to ‘ Le Freak’!
