A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 6th/ JUNE 2018.

I was up early, again, this morning to welcome back little princess ‘ Reina’ for the last day this week, she, as usual, shot upstairs into her duvet, ‘Paddy’ slept all night on the foot of our bed, he’s settling in very well, he’s into our routine, starting to eat a little more, and this morning as we went for his first walk of the day, he’s now leaving his messages ( Bagged!) He is great company and a real character and gets on with ‘Reina’ and ‘ Chispa’ – when she calls in

When we returned I treated us to ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ – open on brown for Brenda, smothered in ‘HP Brown’ sauce, with mugs of hot tea. We then freshened up the wall plants on the front of the house, Brenda is catching up with the chores and is then shampooing her hair, ready for the visit tomorrow of Jason & Donna, which we are really looking forward to! NB; No ‘Blog’ tomorrow, so I will catch up with all the news and some pictures on Friday!!

We have just received a picture from Jenny, via a message service ( very impressed!) showing her new Haircut, Colour & Style!

See below;

This morning the sun was out early and the sky is bright blue, as there is a slight breeze, that has cleared away the clouds, it will be 23/24 degs+ by lunchtime, tomorrow it’s more of the same but getting a little warmer, 26/27 degs+ but still with a little breeze, making it very pleasant, especially as the folks are here with us, out & about on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the weekend is looking fine, warm & sunny, next week’s forecast is also settled, warm and sunny with some clouds at times, hovering in the mid 20s+ Watch this space.

See below some pictures of the ‘BaƱos De La Hedionda ‘ – the ‘Roman Baths’ - in the foot of the valley below the village.

This weekend is the local ‘ Romeria’ – a religious pilgrimage when the whole village celebrates, is all starts with a procession from the Church , hopefully then along the new ‘ Calle Mar ‘ before going down into the valley where there is a small chapel, where all the singing, dancing & eating takes place.

This evening for our supper we are keeping things simple, ‘ Grilled Chicken Wings ‘ served with finely sliced ‘ French’ Green Beans and a Baked Potato. It’s the ‘ Head Chef, Second Chef & all the Staffs’ day of tomorrow, they are then back in the kitchen on Friday, as it’s ‘ Fish Night ‘ – on Saturday ‘ Steak Night’ and then on Sunday the last ‘ Roast’ for a while, as the weather gets hotter! Watch this space.

We are having another ‘ at home day’ taking things easy, the outfits for tomorrow are all pressed & ready, we are going to meet the folks down at the main ‘Repsol’ Garage in Sabinillas at lunchtime, we have sent them the directions to find their way from Malaga Airport, after their 6-00 am flight(!) from Manchester, we will then show them up to sunny Manilva and find somewhere to park their car, as of course now you can’t drive into the centre of the village!  Watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
