A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 5th/ JUNE 2018.

I was up early this morning to see ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she shot into her duvet, as usual, ‘Paddy’ eventually spent the night on our bed, he tried his ‘night’ bed and then his ‘day’ bed first, he’s starting to settle into our routine, we have been out on our regular walks, he is a real character and very good company, he follows me around and when I’m on the ‘ WWW ‘ he likes to sit on my knee as I type the Blog, he is starting to eat a little and gets on with little princess ‘Reina’ and ‘ Chispa’ when she comes calling, yesterday we bumped into her when we were out for one of our walks, they look like brother & sister!

See below ‘ Paddy ‘ this morning on his favourite settee!

After freshening up we went out with ‘Paddy’ for his first walk of the day, we went down to our local Butchers in ‘Calle Iglesia’ for this evening’s supper, the ‘ Contractors’ workmen are finishing drilling out the small squares ,from the flagstones, for the new planters, yesterday the ‘ Scaffolding’ company worked from 8-00 am to 8-00 pm, non-stop, erecting the scaffolding around the Town Hall, this morning the ‘ Council’ painters have started work!

When we returned we had our normal light breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ toast & tea, Brenda is catching up with the Ironing, in the ‘ chill-out room and I’m in the office/studio typing & posting today’s Blog, I’m listening, as usual to ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ – at the moment it’s the ‘ Country & Western Show ‘ – on the live ‘ Breakfast Show’ with Andrew Charles, starting yesterday morning he has a new spot, dedicated to ‘ Sir ‘ Malcolm & ‘Lady’ Brenda – featuring “ Horizontal Dancing “ – which I first introduced to the listening public on my live show ‘ Sir Malcolm’s Classic Session’ a couple of year ago, this morning’s track, which I suggested, was ‘Tiger Feet ‘ by ‘ Mud’!

This morning the sun broke through earlier and the sky is bright blue, the light breeze has cleared away all the clouds, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 24 degs+ over the next few days, including Thursday, when Jason & Donna are with us, we are in for more of the same, if anything getting a little warmer, perfect for the time of the year, over the weekend and into next week it’s hot, warm & sunny, with few clouds at times, hovering in the mid 20s, watch this space.

Yesterday morning over at the ‘Pier Head’ in Liverpool the latest liner to berth this season was the “ Artania “ – as you can see below in a rather overcast & cloudy waterfront.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Escalope’s of Chicken Breast ‘ – which our Butcher took off a large/local ‘ Bird’ this morning, he slices the breast as you wait, I also had the ‘ Chicken Wings’ (6) which he keeps off all the Birds, for our supper tomorrow night, we are keeping things simple this week, as it’s the ‘ Chef’s & Second Chefs ‘ day off, as well as all the ‘ staff’ on Thursday!

The ‘ Escalope’s Of Chicken Breast ‘ are pan-seared in foaming Lemon Butter & Balsamic Vinegar, garnished with seared Button Mushrooms, and served with Whole ‘ French’ Green Beans’ and for a change some twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ – the old classic ‘ Chicken n’ Chips’ – posh style!

We are taking things easy for the rest of the day, because we can, I we preparing for the ‘ State Visit’ on Thursday of Jason & Donna, which we are looking forward to, watch this space.

PS; In the lunchtime post we have just received a ' Post Card ' - our first this year, from our old friends & customers Terry & Alma, who now live in Northern France, above Caen, they are on holiday in the ' Vandee ' Region of France, on the Western coast, with sandy beaches. 'Thanks '!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
