A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 17th/ MAY 2018.

I was up first this morning, not too early, to welcome back little princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, as usual, she shot upstairs and joined Brenda on the bed for a little lie in, before going into her duvet ( Reina’ not Brenda !) where she spends most of the day, only coming out when she smells food!

For our breakfast this morning we had our regular ‘ Weetabix’ toast & tea, we then got the shopping list ready for tomorrow morning when I’m out on my travels down to Sabinillas for our weekly shopping.

This morning the sun broke through earlier and the sky has cleared, there is a very light breeze so we have another beautiful day here in sunny Manilva, by lunchtime it will be hovering on the 21 degs+ mark, overnight down to 15/16 degs. Over the weekend we are in for more of the same with a few clouds possible, next week is now looking settled, dry and sunny, getting hotter at times but still with the threat of ‘ patchy rain’?! Watch this space.

See below some pictures of the ' Menai Bridge ' built by Thomas Telford in 1826, connecting the Isle of Anglesey with North Wales.

This evening we are having ‘ Omelettes of Choice ‘ – Cheese for Brenda & Mushroom for me, with finely-sliced French Green Beans and some twice-cooked ‘ Frits’

Yesterday afternoon in the ‘ Giro d’Italia’ on Stage 11, which finished in the town of Osimo, with two steep climbs in a testing final 5 kms, over the cobbles stones, Britain’s Simon Yates put in a sublime late attack to win his second stage of the Tour, extending his lead in the ‘Pink Jersey’ over the defending champion Tom Dumoulin, Chris Froome lost more time, Yates needs every second of advantage as on Stage 16 it’s a 34 km ‘Time Trial’ when Doumouline, the ‘ World Time Trial Champion’  is expected to beat Yates by one/two minutes! Today’s stage is a flat sprint finish, along the coast into Imola. Watch this space.

Last night after supper we settled down to watch the third episode of “ Innocent “ – the last one is this evening – as the lady detective proved that the husband, who spent 7 years in jail for the murder of his wife, was wife, was innocent, after the Forencic scientist discovered that the original one was a cheap scammer with no professional ethics, the sister and her husband are still on the suspect list but are now joined by the husbands brother, who has a ‘dodgy’ past, as his wife left him just after the murder, the newspapers are on the case and the locals are still out for revenge, watch this space for tonight’s final answers to who did kill her?!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
