A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 22nd/ MAY 2018.

We had a little lie in this morning, Brenda then had her shower, I’m having mine later, we then had ‘ Toasted  Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ smothered in ‘HP’ Brown sauce, open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of strong ‘ PG’ Tips tea, we are taking things easy today as this evening we are going across to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ past Marbella for Brenda’s re-arranged appointment with the ‘Heart Consultant’

We are then on the way back are going to drop down into the ‘Puerto De Duquesa’ Marina, past Sabinillas, and go for supper at ‘Kinnaree Thai Resturante’ for a change, while we are there I’m going to pop along to our favourite ‘ Special Restaurant’ –  “ Restaurante Marcues “ to book a table for the evening when our old friends Jason & Donna are here in sunny Manilva, at the beginning of June, staying for one night, at our local ‘ Hostal Ocana ‘ where I have booked a suite for them, overlooking the new ‘ Calle Mar’ – which we are hoping will be finished by then! Watch this space.

Tomorrow morning little princess ‘Reina’ is now back with us in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ – just for the day, as Lee & Daniela’s rotas have changed this week, ‘ Chispa’ is in & out all the time, as usual, then in the early evening, on Wednesday, we have just arranged a ‘ Skype’ video call with Tim & Thea over in Old Colwyn, North Wales, to catch up with all their news, it was their son’s Ben birthday on Sunday, on Thursday morning Brenda is now going down to Sabinillas on the local bus as she has booked an appointment at her hairdressers for a cut, blow & style.

This morning the sun broke through early and the sky has now cleared, there is just a very light breeze so It’s already hot, as I popped my head out the front door, earlier, by lunchtime it will be 23/24 degs+ - the rest of the week and over the weekend is now looking the same, even getting a little warmer, the threat of the ‘ wet-stuff’ has gone away, for now, next week is also looking fine & settled, watch this space.

This morning over in a rather grey Liverpool the liner “ Queen Victoria “ has just berthed at the Pier Head.

See below.

And then leaving this evening after turning around 180 degrees! - she set off down the River Mersey to the Irish Sea and new destinations!

On the memory front while I’m showing Liverpool, in August, this year, in the world famous ‘St Georges Hall ‘ – the “ Minton “ tiled floor is to be uncovered, It’s made up of over 30,000 individual tiles, the largest Minton pavement in the World, I first saw it as a child with my Mum & Dad, back in the 50s, later in the mid 60s when I was working at the ‘ Stork Hotel ‘ in Queens Square, I was able to see it again, it used to be uncovered every 10 years back then, I then took Brenda on a ‘date’ to see it! ( It worked !)

See below.

This afternoon we will be watching the ‘ Giro d’Italia’ Stage 16 – the ‘Individual Time Trial’ over 34 kms,  as Simon Yates defends the race leaders ‘Pink Jersey’ against the ‘ World Champion ‘ Time Trialist ‘ – Tom Dumoulin, who is second, 2 mins,11 secs behind him!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
