A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 14th/ MAY 2018.

We were up early this morning and a quick toast tea we freshened-up and put on our best  ‘Bib & Tucker’ before we set off along/down the coast road past the sparking ‘Mediterranean’ to Fuengirola  to meet our friend Julie who’s staying there with her daughter & mother, for a short weeks break, we spotted the “ Hotel Las Piramides – The Pryamid Hotel’ as we came down the slip-road onto the promenade!

Julie’s sister in law, from Dublin, has also joined her with the young daughter, so we met up with them by the indoor pool next to the main pool, we had a very nice catch up with all her news, since we last saw her, she’s married with three children and has become an ‘Independent County Councillor ‘ – we had nice-cool drinks sat in the very warm sunshine, me in the shade, as we caught up with all our news also. It was nice to see Julie and catch up with her, until the next time she’s back on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ – safe travels, good health and happiness.

The sun was out early this morning and the sky was bright blue by the time we set off, there was just a very light breeze, making it very pleasant in the hot sunshine, the perfect time of the year to be out & about. It reached 22 degs+ by the afternoon, the rest of the week is now dry, warm & sunny, with a few clouds on some days, by the weekend hovering in the mid 20s, overnight 16 degs+ Watch this space.

Before we set off we made contact with Joyce ‘ Baby’  up in Alhaurin el Grande, after her car ( a friends!) broke down, yesterday on her way to meet us, she was very lucky, as it was a steering problem, we are hoping to meet up with her later in the week, watch this space, yesterday evening Daniela changed the days that little princess ‘ Reina’ is back with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ this week, as their shifts had changed at work in Gibraltar, it’s now Thursday/Friday.

On the way back to sunny Manilva as we passed ‘ Burger King ‘ outside Estepona, and to my great surprise, Brenda said that she fancied one! So I dropped down into Sabinillas and went to the ‘Burger King’ on the promenade, on the beach by the side of the Mediterranean, where we treated ourselves to a ‘Big Wopper ‘ &  ‘Double Bacon & Egg Burger’ with large Fries! Delicious!!

We are taking things easy this evening and will settle back into our routine tomorrow, and catch up with all the news etc, after all the excitement over a ‘ Helluva ‘ weekend, down here in sunny Manilva on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’
