WEDNESDAY 16th/ MAY 2018.
We had a nice lie in this morning, little
princess ‘ Reina’ is back with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ tomorrow morning
& Friday, Brenda showered first, I’m going later, we then had ‘Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties ‘ – as usual,
open on brown for Brenda, smothered in ‘HP’ Brown ‘ sauce, with mugs of strong ‘
PG’ Tips Tea! Brenda is still in her ‘ ing’ mode so I’ve moved upstairs to the
office/studio and are on the ‘ WWW’ checking the news, reading the E-Mails
& Facebook Messages etc, before typing/posting today’s Blog.
We have no other appointment this week, on
Friday morning I will be out on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly
shopping, over the weekend we are hoping to meet-up our friend Joyce ‘ Baby’ –
next week we are going across to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ past Marbella,
on Tuesday evening, as Brenda has her re-arranged appointment with the ‘ Heart’
Consultant, in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ ‘Reina’ will no doubt be back with us for
2/3 days as usual and ‘ Chispa’ will come crashing in & out as normal, to
see her friends and us, watch this space.
We have another warm & sunny day, the
sky has cleared and there is a light breeze, making it very pleasant, down here
on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – by lunchtime it’s due to reach 21+ degs, the rest of
the week and over the weekend is now looking dry, warm, sunny & settled,
with a few clouds at times, hovering on the 23 degs+ mark, just about right for
the time of the year, next week is also looking the same, getting hotter at times,
reaching on one of the forecasts 27 degs+ - but still with the threat of the ‘wet
stuff’ in the air, watch this space.
This morning the ‘Contractors ‘ working in ‘ Calle Mar - Sea Street ‘ have started to
work on the ‘ Second Phase ‘ – from the
top of our street, past the Town Hall, down to the junction by the ‘Plaza de la
Vendimia’ – laying the various different sized & coloured flagstones, then
new lamp posts will be put up, finally all along the street there are going to
be square white ‘planters’- hopefully with nice flowered plants, as you can see
outside our house! Watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Grilled Gammon Steaks’ – garnished with seared Button Mushrooms and topped with
a seared Pineapple Ring and a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg! Accompanied with Broccoli
Florets & Garden Peas and of course twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ – no doubt the ‘
HP’ Brown sauce will be available! On Thursday Brenda has requested my famous ‘
Omelettes of Choice ‘ – Friday will be a ‘ Fish Supper’ using the small ‘ Dab
Soles ‘- lightly dusted in seasoned flour and then ‘ shallow fried ‘ in
Vegetable oil, over the weekend is still ‘ TBC’ - as we wait to see where we
are, watch this space.
Last night after our supper we settled down
to watch the second episode of the crime drama
“ Innocent “ as the plot thickened, the missing ‘killers’ hammer was
spotted, more lies were uncovered, the two sisters didn’t get on with one
another, the ‘ lover’ is also a nasty piece of stuff, the main lady detectives
partner, the detective who first investigated the case, seven years ago, has
been economical with the truth, his investigation was negligent at best and
corrupt at worst, vigilante’s are watching the freed ‘ killer’ and at the end
the husband of the suspect sister, who is a boat-builder, showed his daughter
how to tie a rope knot, the same knot the killer used to tie the murdered
sister in a bag before dumping the body in a Lake! Part ‘Three’ is this evening
and the last episode tomorrow night, watch this space.
