I was up early this morning to welcome back
little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, she shot into her duvet, she’s back
tomorrow, ‘Chico’ slept in his bed all night and ‘ Charlie’ was on the rug by
the side of our bed, they all get on very well, after a quick freshen-up we
took ‘Chico & Charlie’ for their first walk of the day, around the bottom
of the village, when we returned I treated us to ‘ Toasted Smoked Bacon Butties’
– open on brown for Brenda – smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown Sauce, with mugs of
strong/sweet tea!
Over the weekend ‘ Chispa’ has been in
& out to see her friends, no doubt she will call in later, we have a new
guest, joining us in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ – who will be a ‘Record Breaker’ as
he’s going to be with us for two months (June & July) ‘Paddy’ is a Yorkie/Bichon cross, he called
into to see us yesterday afternoon, Eileen & Russell are going to the ‘USA’
to see their family, so they want a ‘Home’ atmosphere for their little ‘ Lad ‘!
This morning has started like yesterday, a
little grey & overcast, but cleared by the time we went out for our first
walk of the day, there was no breeze so it was already warm & sunny, by
lunchtime it will be 24 degs+ - just like yesterday, over the next couple of
days it’s more of the same, sadly on some of the forecasts it’s showing some of
the ‘ wet-stuff’ in the air! From Friday and over the weekend it’s getting back
to normal for the time of the year, warm & sunny, hovering on the 23 degs+
mark, next week is now also looking more settled but still with the possibility
of patchy clouds and rain, at times ?!

See below a picture, taken yesterday
evening, showing the Pier Head & ‘Royal Liver Building’ in Liverpool at their
best.
And later the same night!
And later the same night!
For our supper this evening we are keeping
things simple; I’m making a ‘ Cheese Omelette ‘ for Brenda and a ‘Breton
Omelette’ for me, using the left-over ‘Breton’ style Potatoes, served with
finely sliced French Green Beans and some twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ Tomorrow we are
having my famous ‘ Chicken & Mushroom Curry’ with Basmati Rice.
Some news this morning on the ‘ Councils’
web –site; The Church of ‘ Iglesia De Santa Ana’ is getting a ‘second’ large
make-over/repair up-date, more details to be announced over the next week,
watch this space.
They have also just announced that the large Mural in the 'Plaza de la Vendimia' - which fell-off last year, is going to be replaced earlier than forecast, this morning they were re-tiling around the fountain!
See below;
See below the ' Mural' before it fell off and the empty space for the new one!
PS; The other mural behind the vine crushing pit, by the side is fine, so I'm safe for now ! ( Middle Caballero!)
This weekend we now have a ‘Helluva ‘ Saturday & Sunday now planned, as on Saturday evening, after supper, I’m taking my ‘ Rock Baby’ out to a local ‘ Gig’ at the new Bar that has just opened in the village, “ Bri’s Bar – Bar Ebano “ – it’s an old bar at the entrance to the village, by the roundabout, down some steep steps, with spectacular views across the valley to the mountains and down to the Mediterranean!
“ Billy Boy Miskimmins “ is playing, with
his famous ‘ Lee Oskar’ Harmonica, he’s ex ‘ The Yardbirds & Nine Below
Zero’ – both of which I have played on my live Radio Show, in the past, on ‘
Castle Radio FM 89.2 ‘ On Friday evening he’s at ‘Itszabar’ and then on Sunday
at ‘Ringo’s Bar’ – Manilva & Sabinillas will be rocking!!
Then on Sunday we are meeting up with our
dear friend Joyce ‘Baby’ as she’s over from Chester, at her house up in Alhaurin
el Grande, above Marbella, so we are going to ‘La Taberna 2 ‘ down in Castillo
de la Duquesa, for their excellent ‘ Sunday Roast Lunch’ Watch this space.
This evening after supper we will settled
down to watch the next episode of “ The Split “ – about a family of lady
divorce lawyers.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
