A VERY ' CRISP' & SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND.

FRIDAY 16th/ MARCH 2018.

We were both up early this morning, no little princess ‘ Reina’ as Daniela is working from home today, she’s back with us on Monday/ Tuesday, only, next week, after freshening up we took both the dogs out for their first walk of the day, they slept, all night, in their own beds last night, they are both great characters and very good company, they are eating very well and get on with one another, ‘ Chispa’ has been calling in, in between showers, to see all her friends, at one time yesterday we had all four dogs here in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’!

I then carried on down to Sabinillas, on my travels, for the weekly shopping, after the main shop in ‘ Mercadona’ I walked along to the ‘ English Bookshop ‘ for the local English newspapers and some cards, I then shot along to the far end of the promenade for the fresh flowers & wall plants, before calling into ‘ Super Sol’ on the way back up the hill, for the English essentials, when I got back to the house I had my toast & tea waiting.

This morning as we were walking the dogs it was dry and very crisp, the overall temperatures have dropped down to 14/15 degs, overnight 8/9 degs+ -  the sun broke through but with the stiff breeze it was ‘ sharp’ to say the least, the sky was clearing, but still cloudy, no rain is forecast, so far, as I was coming back from parking the car in the underground car park it was starting to spit,  then tomorrow & on Sunday the wet stuff is due to return, next week is starting warm & sunny, but a little colder at times, sadly over next weekend the rain is due to hit us again, but the following week of ‘ Semana Santa’  - leading up to the ‘ Easter Weekend’ is looking warm & sunny, fingers crossed, watch this space.

See below a spectacular picture taken by a drone showing all of Llandudno, North Wales, from a different view.

At lunchtime, on the walk with the two dogs, we ended up sat outside ' Bar Rojas ' in the middle of all the disruption, in the hot sunshine with our cool drinks and light Tapas!

This afternoon we will be watching the final days racing from the ‘ National Hunt Jump Racing’ from the ‘ Cheltenham Festival ‘ with the biggest race of the year, the  “ Cheltenham Gold Cup “

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Fillets of Hake’ dipped in ‘ Cruzcampo Beer Batter’ – then deep-fried, accompanied with my famous , homemade ‘Tartar’ sauce, served with Mushy Peas and twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ – lots of Lemon Wedges on the side!

On Saturday it’s going to be a large ‘Rib of Beef, on the Bone ‘ – grilled and served with all the trimmings, then on Sunday, for a change, we are having ‘ Medallions of Pork Fillet ‘

This evening after supper we will channel hop and find something to watch, last night after supper we made contact via the ‘Facebook Messenger video, with Tim & Thea, up in a very warm & sunny Mojacar, they are both very well and now looking forward to going home next weekend, they are collecting their daughter, Jo, up in Madrid, where she works, as an English teacher, they then all cross over on the ferry from Santander to Portsmouth, Jo is home for a week’s holiday, later in the year, during her summer holidays she going ‘ back-packing with a girl friend to Brazil, Bolivia & Peru, taking in the Inca city of “ Machu Picchu “!

At the same time their son, Ben, is also going ‘ back-packing’ with 3 of his mates to Thailand, Tim & Thea are then coming back to Spain in September for another six months.  Safe travels to all of them!
