A ' CRISP' WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 20th/ MARCH 2018.  “ INTERNATIONAL HAPPINESS DAY “

I was up early, again, this morning to see ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, the last time this week, she shot upstairs and joined ‘ Scruffy’ on the bed, ‘Chico’ spent the night in his own bed, we then all had a nice lie before getting the day on the go, after a quick freshen up we took Scruffy & Chico’ out for their first walk of the day, in the warm ‘ Spring’ sunshine!

‘Chico’ is due to be collected tomorrow morning, last night we had a call from Rose, in Hospital, to say that she’s had a second ‘Hernia’ operation and could be home later today, possibly with Adrian, after his second Hip-Replacement operation, so ‘Scruffy’ could be leaving us also, it mean that ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ will be very quiet over the next few days and the weekend, so say the least, we will miss them all lining up to be fed, everyday, they all get on very well and are great company and all ‘ characters - ‘Chispa’ who comes in & out all the time will also miss them!

See below, feeding time !

When we returned we had our normal light breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ fresh fruit, toast & tea, I then popped along to our local Bank in ‘Calle Mar’ for some cash, before walking down to the local butchers, which was closed, with no sign to let you why?! I shot back to the house and we changed the planned Menu’s for the week, Brenda then went along to the Chemists in ‘Calle Mar’ for our prescription tablets and on the way back called into the local shop down our street for the fresh local essentials.

So this evening we are keeping things very simple and having ‘ Escalope’s of Chicken Breast ‘ pan-seared in foaming Lime Butter with a dash of Balsamic Vinegar, with Garden Peas and twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ On Wednesday we were going to have a ‘Beef Curry’ but I have now raided the deep-freeze and it’s going to be instead a ‘ Casserole of Braised Steak ‘ with Mushrooms, Onions & assorted vegetables, with Brenda’s famous ‘ Mashed Potato’!

As we were out this morning the sky has cleared and the sun was shining, it was warm on the sunny side of the street and ‘ crisp’ in the shade as there is a light breeze, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 15 degs+ - then over the next couple of days we are in for more warm sunshine, sadly on Friday and over the weekend, including on ‘Palm Sunday’ - on the start of the ‘ Semana Santa ‘ religious celebrations/first parade it’s forecast to be the return of the wet stuff! Next week is just about looking warm & sunny but still with the threat of rain in the air at times, watch this space.

This morning for the first time there are ‘SIX’ Contractors workmen ( normally 4 max ) in ‘Calle Mar’ as they continue to lay all the supply/drain pipes along the street, at one time yesterday we were totally cut-off as they worked at the top of our street in front of our neighbours houses along the top side of the street! Every day over the past few weeks they have been battling with the rain storms/floods in all the trenches that they have dug, even yesterday evening we had another severe rain storm, that we thankfully missed!!

See below today’s progress work in the street;

Last night after supper we caught the next exciting episode of the excellent new series of ‘ Marcella’ – with Anna Friel in the title role; as the Detective tracked down the killers house in the wood, to discover that there have been over the years 17 killings in total, so far! The ‘Pop’ Star’s’ nasty manager finally dumped him in a canal to hide their past! There are more suspects acting strange, as the Detective battles her illness and family problems, it’s all getting rather gripping, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above,
