We had a little lie in this morning, ‘Bo’
sleeps down stairs, all night, in his large bed, he’s very well behaved and a
very gentle ‘ Giant’ – after a quick freshen up, we took him out for his first,
long, walk of the day, he walks at our speed, as we set off it was dry, but
just as we got around the corner the wet stuff started again, it looks like it’s
in for the rest of the day, when we returned we fed ‘ Bo’ his first meal of the
day, we then treated ourselves to ‘Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’- open
on Brown for Brenda, smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce, with mugs of strong, hot
tea!
Brenda is washing/shampooing her hair and
as you can see I’m up in the office/studio on the ‘WWW’ before I type &
post today’s Blog, it’s definitely a stay at home day, sadly this evenings two ‘
Semana Santa’ parades have been cancelled, last night’s, late, parade of ‘
Jesus Nazareno’ did take place on the amended route.
NB; This evenings two parades are now taking place as the weather has changed at lunchtime, there is no rain and the sun has broken though, but still with a stiff breeze, watch out for some pictures later or tomorrow!
At the moment we are in the middle of
another rain storm, the sky is black and there is a light breeze blowing, the
temperature is due to reach 15 degs+ by lunchtime, it looks like it’s in for
the rest of the day, so we are all going to get rather wet, so say the least,
tomorrow the sun is back and it’s going to be a little warmer, on ‘Easter
Sunday’ – at the moment it’s staying dry, but overcast, next week is now
looking mainly wet, with the sun breaking through on occasions, with the
overall temperatures hovering on the 19 degs+ mark! Watch this space.
We stayed in, last night, and watched the main parades in Malaga & Seville, with the spectacular procession of the ‘ Macarena’ from the Basilica, led by the ‘ Band of Roman Centurians with White Plumes’!

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Pan-Seared Fillets of Hake’ – dusted in seasoned flour and cooked in foaming Lemon Butter & chopped Parsley - ‘ A la Meuniere ‘ style, served with lots of Lemon wedges and Homemade ‘ Tartar’ sauce on the side, accompanied with Broccoli Florets & Garden Peas and Parsley New Potatoes.
During the day we have our ‘ Hot Cross Buns’
with mugs of steaming tea, Lee got them for us from ‘Morrisons Supermarket’ in
Gibraltar, as ‘Iceland’ was closed the other day!
On Saturday evening for our supper I’m
cooking an old favourite of my version of the classic ‘ Tournedos Rossini’ –
the ‘ Fillet Steaks’ are wrapped in Smoked Bacon, seared on a very hot
griddle-plate, then baked in a hot oven ‘
Med-Rare’ – Pink, no blood! – then left
to rest, they are served on a toasted ‘ Croute’ and topped with’ Iberican Pate’
and surrounded with a pool of a rich ‘Red Wine’ Glaze. Not forgetting the
twice-cooked ‘ Frits’!
As it’s the ‘ Easter Weekend’ I am posting
a few pictures of the ‘ Great Orme Tramway ‘ over in Llandudno, North Wales,
the only remaining cable-operated street tramway in the UK, it adheres to the
funicular principle, where the cars are permanently fixed to the cable, it
opens this ‘Bank Holiday’ weekend, for the season, we used to run the
famous/old ‘ Kings Head ‘ Pub behind the station, the track runs across the car
park and then up the side of the building!

This evening after supper we will
channel-hop and find a good film to watch.
