A NOW WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 28th/ MARCH 2018.

We managed a little lie in this morning as little princess ‘ Reina’ was not being dropped off, by Daniela until later in the morning, after a freshen up we had, as a treat, ‘ Toasted English Pork Sausage Butties ‘ – open on Brown for Brenda, as usual, smothered in ‘HP’ Brown Sauce with mugs of string ‘ PG Tips’ tea, we had a call from Rose asking us to look after ’ Scruffy’ for the day as they had to go back to the Hospital for an another emergency check up, he is as usual at my feet as I’m typing/ posting the Blog!  No doubt ‘ Chispa’ will come crashing later to see her friends, she’s in & out all the time. ‘ Bo’ arrives tomorrow afternoon for his short-break holiday until Sunday.

Brenda has earlier gone down to the local sub-post office to post a very special ‘ Birthday Card ‘ to Australia ! This year’s ‘ Easter Cards, from us to the sisters, have arrived very quickly, over in the ‘UK’ and also theirs to us! ( 3/4 days!) Sandra’s card from Canada was also very quick, so fingers crossed that ours reaches her soon, watch this space!

Today over in Melbourne, Australia, it’s Jack & Lyn’s  ‘ 9th Wedding Anniversary ‘ – they have gone out for lunch, have a ‘ Helluva’ Day – lots of Love.

I then got this evenings supper on the go, my now famous “ Beef & Mushroom Curry “ which we will have for our supper with Brenda’s equally famous ‘ Basmati Rice ‘ – served with Garden Peas & sliced Banana. The aromas are wafting around the house and up the street announcing that the ‘ Curry House ‘ is open in sunny Manilva!

On the ‘ Councils ‘ Blog page this morning they are showing an improvement, in front of the main Sports Hall complex, down by the Football ground, of a new central wall with a mosaic design, see below.

This morning has started a little grey & overcast but the sun is now starting to break through, there is just a very slight breeze, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 23/24 degs+ tomorrow it’s going to be the same, but a little cooler, it’s the first main parade of this week’s ‘ Semana Sanata ‘ celebrations, here in the village, when my Brotherhood ‘ Jesus De Nazareno ‘ leads the procession from the Church. Sadly on Friday it’s now forecasting that the wet stuff is returning,  when there should be two more parades,as well as on Saturday, on ‘Easter Sunday’ as the two final parades take place, fingers crossed, it’s going to be cloudy but dry, watch this space.

In this morning’s ‘E-Mails’ we had a nice message from our friends Kevin & Caroline, over on Brighton, they are coming over to their apartment, down in Sabinillas, at the end of April, so we are going to meet up with them and go out for lunch to our favourite ‘Sunday Roast Lunch’ Restaurant ‘ Kokomo ‘  - see the pictures below, when we went there the last time they were here!

On Monday evening we caught up with the next episode of the excellent and very gripping ‘ Marcella’ with Anna Friel in the title role, with a light at the end of the tunnel of this grim& gritty drama, some of the plot threads are finally coming together, the main suspect was arrested, his wife, who is having an affair with main Detective, who is also having an affair with ‘Marcella’- is still trying to frame her husband, the manager of the nursing home is acting suspiciously, as the young care-home nurse has gone missing, the nasty pop group manager is trying to cover up his murder of  his bandmate/lover  – they were involved in sex & drugs with underage girls, in the past.

The police discover more dead bodies in their own police station, buried under the lifts! Could the ‘ killer’ with weirdly religious ways, when the kids are lobotomised and have wooden discs sewn into them before they are murdered, by a woman?!  Watch this space, with two more episodes to come!!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
