A DRY & MILD SUNNY MANILVA, AT THE MOMENT, ON SATURDAY.

SATURDAY 3rd/ MARCH 2018.

We were both up early this morning and after a quick freshen up we took ‘ Charlie & Scooby’ out for their first walk of the day, thankfully the rain has gone away, for now ,as forecast, they slept in our bedroom last night, ‘ Charlie’ went on ‘ Scooby’s comfort jumper to start but it all changed later, we had a message from Rose, overnight, asking us if we could have ‘ Scruffy’ for the day, as sadly Adrian is back in Hospital, with more problems after his hip-replacement operation, I collected ‘ Scruffy’ after I had put the car away in the underground car park, after my travels!

I then set off on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, I did the main shop in ‘ Mercadona ‘ and then collected the local newspapers from the ‘ English Bookshop’ before stopping at ‘ Super Sol ‘ for the ‘ English’ essentials, I then shot back up the hill through the bare vine fields to unload back at the house, Brenda had waiting for me a steaming mug of tea & toast.

This morning it’s still grey & overcast but at the moment the rain has stopped, the forecast is more of the wet stuff later, it’s still the same tomorrow and next week has not changed also, with a grey & overcast sky, windy with rain everyday but keeping the temperatures up, hovering on the 17/18 degs mark, overnight down to 13/14 degs! Watch this space.

This evening for our supper we are having a large ‘ Rib of Beef’ on the bone, cooked on a very hot griddle-plate ‘ Med-Rare’ then left to rest, before taking it off the bone and slicing it into fingers ‘ French’ style, garnished with seared Asparagus Spears & Button Mushrooms and shallow-fried Onion Rings ( Milk & Flour ) with a sauceboat of ‘ Bearnaise’ sauce on the side, served with Whole Baby French Green Beans and of course twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ as well!

On the sports front this weekend; this afternoon the ‘ National Hunt Racing’ is from Newbury & Kelso, there is no ‘ Six Nations Rugby Union’ this weekend, over in the ‘ Premier League’ Burnley welcome Everton and Liverpool are at home to Newcastle Utd, tomorrow Manchester City welcome Chelsea, over here in ‘ La Liga’ Real Madrid are at home to Getafe and on Sunday Barcelona welcome Atletico Madrid in the ‘ match of the day’

At the moment the ‘TV’ System is not working, again, it must be the weekend, I’ve tried re-setting it and the online update, all with no luck, so at the moment we will have to do with Spanish TV & BBC only! Watch this space.

NB; Daniela is popping around to have a look at the system as her's is working fine?!

NBB; It's now working !! Thank's Daniela !!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
