A STILL VERY ' CRISP' & WARM SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY.

SATURDAY 9^th/ DECEMBER 2017.

We all had a nice long lie in this morning, after a quick freshen up we took ‘ Chico’ out for his first walk of the day, he’ stays and sleeps in his bed all night and then has a stretch & scratch before we set off out,he’s  eating very well and is very easy to look after, he also gets on with all the other dogs, he’s with us until Monday lunchtime, he’s then back for a short stay before Xmas.

We have another very sunny & ‘ crisp’ day here in sunny Manilva, the sky has cleared and there is a light breeze, more of the same tomorrow, then on Monday it’s forecasting some of the ‘ wet-stuff’ but then the rest of next week is dry & settled with sunshine, hovering on the 16/18 degs mark, watch this space.

See below pictures of Ruthin in North Wales taken this morning, by our friend Kelvin, outside his house, as the heavy snow takes effect, all of North Wales has been hit, with more to come over the weekend!

For our supper this evening we are having a large ‘ Entrecote Steak ‘ cooked on a very hot griddle-plate ‘ Med-Rare’ – then left to rest before slicing it into ‘ fingers’ – ‘French’ style, garnished with seared Asparagus Spears & Button Mushrooms with a sauceboat of ‘Bearnaise’ sauce on the side,  whole Baby French Green Beans and the classic, twice-cooked ‘Pont Neuf’ Chips ( Door Steps!)

Tomorrow night we are having for our Sunday ‘ Roast’ a ‘Leg of New Zealand, South Island, Lamb ‘ studded with Garlic Cloves & Rosemary, finished on my famous ‘Boulangere’ Potatoes with a selection of local vegetables prepared by the ‘Vegetable Chef’ – with lots of Mint sauce on the side and a sauceboat of my ‘ finger-licking ‘Pan Gravy’ !

On the sports front this weekend it’s all happening over in the UK in the ‘Premier League’ as there are two classic ‘ Derby’ games, both on Sunday, as Liverpool welcome Everton and Manchester Utd are at home to Manchester City !! Over here in ‘ La Liga’ Real Madrid are at home to Sevilla and Barcelona travel to Villarreal.

We will check out the ‘ Manilva Gastronomic Food & Wine Festival ‘ later while we are out with ‘ Chico’ for his main walk of the day, the two village ‘ Chi Chi Pom Bands’ and one from another village, are out in force this morning in the streets around our house, sadly not passing our front door due to the street being closed at the top,  this evening after supper we will channel hop to find something to watch.
