A ' CRISP' START TO THE DAY IN SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 28th/ DECEMBER 2017.

I was up early this morning to see ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she shot upstairs and joined us in the bed for a nice lie in before going in her duvet, after freshening up we had a quick toast & tea before sorting ourselves out, we got the shopping list ready for tomorrow morning, when I’m out on my travels down in Sabinillas, for the weekly shopping. Brenda popped along to the Chemists for our prescription tablets and on the way back called into the local shop in our street for some essentials.

Overnight we had a little bit of the wet stuff and this morning has started grey & overcast, cold & breezy, it’s now picking up and the forecast is for the sun to break through, the sky is clearing and by this afternoon it’s due to reach 20 degs+  - the rest of the week and over the ‘ New Year’ weekend is the same, even getting a little warmer, next week is looking dry & settled hovering on the  20/21 degs mark, with none of the wet stuff forecast, watch this space.

We have just had a message from Jenny, over at Norah’s in Runcorn, Cheshire, to say that the flowers we ordered last week, down in Sabinillas at the ‘Interflora Flower Shop ‘ have just arrived, one day late, for her 70th birthday, we had just been onto the shop complaining!

Anyway see below a picture of the ‘ Birthday Girl’ with her flowers!!

After breakfast I made the ‘ Curry Sauce ‘ for tonight’s supper, I will add the diced Turkey Breast this evening, we are having Brenda’s famous ‘ Basmati’ Rice with Garden Peas and sliced Bananas. On Friday its ‘ Fish n’ Chips’ and on Saturday our regular ‘ Steak Night’ – for ‘New Years Eve’ we are having ‘Medallions of Pork Fillet’ and will then on ‘ New Years Day ‘ have a ‘Roast’ – probably ‘ Topside of Beef ‘ with Yorkshire Puddings!

We are taking things easy for the rest of the day, it’s an ‘at home day’ here in sunny Manilva, we settle down and watch the TV, channel hopping, as usual, ‘Derby & Joan’ seeing in another year down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ just around the corner!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
