I was up early this morning to see little
princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she shot into her duvet and we then
all had a little lie in before getting the day on the go, after a quick freshen
up we had our regular breakfast of toast & tea before getting this evenings
supper ready, Lee & Daniela are joining us he’s going home for two weeks
over Xmas, Daniela has to work and also has lots of ‘ gigs’ with her singing
act, that’s why we have ‘ Reina’ on Xmas/New Years Eve and other dates over the
festive period.
PS; Sadly the folks have had to cancel as something has cropped up at the last minute!

For our supper this evening I have just
made my famous “ Chicken & Mushroom ‘ Tarragon’ Casserole “ which I’m topping with individual Puff Pastry
Lids, - the ‘ Vegetable Chef ‘ has just prepared Broccoli & Cauliflower
Florets in a Cheese sauce, Whole Baby Green Beans & Glazed Whole Baby
Carrots, with Parsley New Potatoes, this evening I’m garnishing the Casserole
with twice-cooked ‘ Stringfellows ‘ – to start we are having a small selection
of light ‘Tapas’ and the dessert is Apple Sponge ‘Torte’ with Strawberries
& Vanilla Ice Cream. A fine selection of cocktails, wines and liqueur’s
will be offered!
Overnight the temperatures are still hovering on the 8/11 degs mark, the coldest spell we have had in many years, during the day its very cold & ‘ crisp’ with the sun just breaking through, there is a very light breeze so by lunchtime it’s reaching 17/18 degs, a little warmer by the weekend, next weeks ‘Xmas ‘ Weeks forecast is looking same but a little cloudy on some days and going cooler as the week goes on, watch this space.

See below some pictures taken around sunny
Manilva over the past few days, the new ‘ Climbing Wall ‘ in the sports hall is
now in action, the ‘ Andalucian’ Champion is a local man( neighbour) from
Manilva, the new ‘ Swimming Pool’ down in Sabinillas is very busy & doing
great business, the ‘ Iglesia Santa Ana’ Church, where the Carol Concert with
the Manilva Brass Band takes place tomorrow night, is at night looking rather
special, a new ‘Island Light House ’ display looks good down in Sabinillas, the
new top viewing point/park is spectacular and finally the ‘Blue Anchor ‘ Island
welcomes visitors!
Yesterday afternoon while I was waiting for
the little problem on the car to be fixed, Pedro Snr, looked after me and it
was soon ready to go, I called in to say ‘ Hello’ to Andrew Charles from ‘ Castle
Radio FM’ as the new studio is in his house just opposite, he’s back ‘ Live –
On Air’ with his ‘ eponymous’ Breakfast Show ( Monday to Friday) and the
station is again broadcasting/available Online World Wide! Watch out as I could
also be back with my ‘live’ show from my Studio here in the house in the New
Year - ‘Sir Malcolm’s Classic Saturday
Session’
On one side of Andrews house is Carlo’s
house, he was in so I had a chat & catch up with him and our friend Andy,
as it was both their days off, Carlos works at ‘La Taberna 2’ & Andy is the
night manager at the ‘Manilva Green Aparthotel’ - the next door neighbours, on the other side,
our friends Pete & Barbara with their lovely family, who I also had a nice
chat/catch up! It’s a small ‘ World’ when you are out & about in sunny
Manilva!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
