A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND.

FRIDAY 3rd/ NOVEMBER 2017.

I was up early this morning and after a quick freshen up I shot off on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, as the sun was coming up above the Mediterranean, my first port of call was our Bank to get some cash from the machine, the local Bank’s machine in ‘Calle Mar’ was not working, last night, I missed my tea & toast at ‘ Itzabar’ as it was closed for holidays, I did the main shop in ‘ Mercadona’ and then walked along to the ‘ English Bookshop’ for the local newspapers & a birthday card, we didn’t need any flowers or plants from the market so I called into ‘ Super Sol’ for the ‘ English’ essentials before shooting back up the hill, through the bare vine fields.

First thing this afternoon we have our appointments down at the local surgery for our ‘ Gripe- Anti-Flu Jabs’ – the Council have just announced that they are refurbishing/roofing, installing new windows & entrance etc, over the next few months.

We have a extra booking in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ tomorrow evening when ‘ Scruffy’ is joining us, it’s Rose’s 70th birthday and she is going out for dinner with Adrian & friends.

This morning as I was going down to Sabinillas it was still a little cloudy & overcast, with a slight breeze, but still no sign of the forecasted ‘ wet stuff’- yesterday stayed dry & sunny, it’s showing rain for tomorrow, then on Sunday the sun returns and next week is looking warm & sunny hovering on the low 20s, a little cooler at night 13/15 degs, nearly time for the light duvet, watch this space.

See below a picture taken from the Pier Head, Liverpool, across the River Mersey, showing the ‘Wirral’ and on the horizon the Welsh mountains and on the right the ‘ Great Orme’ above Llandudno, jutting out into the Irish Sea.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Fish’ n Chips’ with Mushy Peas and twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ – using Fillets of Hake coated in a ‘ Cruzecampo’ Beer Batter, with Homemade ‘ Tartar’ sauce on the side with lots of Lemon wedges. Tomorrow evening it’s ‘ Steak Night’ and then on Sunday we are roasting a Leg of Lamb, as I forgot to pick up a fresh Chicken this morning!

We are taking things very easy over the weekend, relaxing, doing nothing, because we can!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
