A VERY 'CRISP' WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 15th/ NOVEMBER 2017.

We had a little lie in this morning, again, as ‘ Reina’ was not back with us for the day, we had a message from Daniela last night to say that she was working from home today, she will be back with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ tomorrow morning. ‘Chispa’ has been in & out during the morning, as usual, we had our breakfast of toasted ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ – open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of strong tea, to set us up for the day ahead.

I then got this evenings supper on the go ‘ Beef Casserole’ made with sliced ‘ Entrecote of Beef ‘ dusted in seasoned flour and then pan-seared, the sauce is made with diced Onions & Shallots, Leeks, Carrots & Turnips, Mushrooms and Garlic, all sweated off with a dash of ‘Lea & Perrins & Tabasco’ –  a large spoon of Tomato Frito, a glug of Red Wine and a rich Beef & Vegetable stock, layers of sliced caramelized Onions are placed under and on top of the ‘Beef’ slices before covering them with the sauce, after it’s been seasoned and consistency adjusted, ready to go in the oven this evening. The ‘ Vegetable Chef ‘ has prepared her famous ‘ Mashed Potato ‘ that will join the ‘ Casserole’ in the oven later, Batons of Glazed Carrots, Cabbage with Acelgas & Garden Peas! “ Comfort Food “ to die for !!  The ‘ Aromas ‘ are wafting around the house and up our street!

We have another glorious day here in sunny Manilva, the sun was out early and the sky has cleared, there is a stiff, breeze but it’s still warm & sunny, if a little cool in the shade! It’s more of the same for the rest of the week and over the weekend, hovering on the 19/20 degs mark, overnight 12/13 degs, about right for the time of the year, next week is looking settled, warm & sunny, watch this space.

Meanwhile over in Australia they are in the middle of their summer, yesterday Lyn and her daughters, Annette Rose & Deb had a ‘ Girlie’ day out in ‘Queenscliff’ on the Bellarine Peninsula, at the entrance to ‘Port Phillip’  going across on a ferry, as you can see in the pictures below.

Brenda is having one of her ‘ ing!’ days around the house, I’m as you can see up in the office on the ‘WWW’ checking the E-Mails & facebook messages, reading all the newspapers etc, as well as typing & posting today’s Blog.

On Friday morning I will be out on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping and ordering the ‘Xmas Turkey’ form the ‘ English Butchers down in ‘Puerto de la Duquesa’ – I will also call into our local Butcher in the village to order the ‘ Boxing Day’ ‘Beef on the Bone’

While I’m out I’m going to call into our local garage and arrange for them to take the car across to Estepona next week for the annual “ ITV – MOT “ inspection, fingers crossed, watch this space.

This evening we will channel hop and later after supper watch the first new episode of ‘Peaky Blinders ‘ on BBC 2.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
