A CRISP & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 14th/NOVEMBER 2017.

Just a little lie in this morning and after a quick freshen up we grabbed our tea & toast before shooting off to ‘Iceland’ along the coast in Pueblo Nuevo Guadiaro ‘ for the ‘Xmas ‘ essentials, after ‘ clearing ’ the shelves of all sorts of ‘ goodies’ we decided to go on to the ‘Hypermarket’ on the ‘Poligamo – Industrial Estate’ behind Algerciras for a new ‘Xmas Tree’ – we have had the old one for nearly ten years!

It’s another glorious morning down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sun was out early and the sky is bright blue, there is just a slight breeze, on the sunny side of the street it’s very warm, on the shady side it’s cooler, 18/19 degs+ - the rest of the week and over the weekend into next week, we are in for more of the same, getting a little warmer, normal for the time of the year, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Pan-Seared Medallions of Pork Fillet’ accompanied with a creamy ‘Green Peppercorn Salsa’ with whole Fine Green Kenyean Beans and Baby New Potatoes in their Skins ‘Rissole’ style – tossed in Butter until Golden Brown.

Tomorrow evening I’m making a ‘Beef Casserole’ using sliced ‘Entrecote Steak’ in a rich Mushroom, Onion & Vegetable sauce, with of course Brenda’s famous ‘ Mashed Potato’!

See below a picture of the Old ‘Collegiate Grammer School’ in Shaw Street in Liverpool ,I remembere it back in 1960, my classroom was on the first floor right-hand side large bay window!

Yesterday afternoon/evening we watched our regular ‘Quiz’ shows ‘Countdown, Pointless, Eggheads & University Challenge’ and after supper we caught the next programme with Chris Tarrant ‘ Extreme Railway Journeys’ – this week going from East to West across the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania, due to all the wars in the past, between Russia & Germany, all the train tracks have changed depending who was in charge, local on narrow gauge ( Steam)  German on standard gauge and Russian on large gauge! They are now building a revolutionary new line, with standard gauge, across the three states from West to East, with smart and comfortable double-decker trains!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
