I was up early this morning to see ‘ Reina’
back with us for the day, we then all had a nice lie in before freshening up
and getting the day on the go, for our breakfast we had ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon
Butties ‘ (open on brown) for Brenda, with mugs of steaming, strong, tea. We
then sorted out the shopping list for tomorrow morning, I will be out on my
travels down to Sabinillas on the early bus! I will grab a taxi back up to the
house, at the moment ‘ Calle Mar’ is open to our street, it means that we have
a lot more traffic passing our front door!
‘Chispa’ has been in & out all morning
to see us and her friend, ‘Reina’ is back with us in ‘Doggy World Heaven’
tomorrow morning and then next week she’s back with us on Tuesday, Thursday
& Friday, she’s also booked for some dates before, during and after Xmas. ‘
Chico’ is also back for a couple of sleep-over’s before Xmas and as usual ‘
Charlie’ is with us over Xmas, just for a week this year!
For our supper this evening we are having
the rest of the ‘ Chicken & Mushroom Tarragon Casserole’ topped with a Puff
Pastry lid ( it worked!) with a fry-up of the leftover vegetables &
potatoes. The full weekend’s menus will be finalized tomorrow after I return
from the weekly shopping down in Sabinillas, watch this space.
As you can see above we have another
glorious day down here in sunny Manilva, the sun broke through earlier and the
sky has cleared in bright blue, there is no breeze so it’s warm and very pleasant,
it’s getting a little warmer over the next couple of days, up to 23 degs+ on
Saturday, next week is looking a little cooler as the Atlantic front passes
over, the threat of the wet stuff is still in the air, again, at the moment,
watch this space.
Estepona is as usual leading, where other’s
follow, they have nearly finished the new ‘ Plaza Antonia Guerrero’ in the
centre of the town, see the pictures below, and the new Hospital is shooting up,
there are also three new ‘Boutique Hotels’ due to open, one next to the ‘Orchid
House’ and one of which is being built next to main square in the town centre.
And the Hospital!
And the Hospital!
Last night after supper, after clearing up,
we settled down to watch the next episode of “ Peaky Blinders “ – as Tommy’s
war cry ‘ Let’s get on with the war!’ was just the start! One family member
killed, the other badly injured and bedridden, Tommy uses the funeral to draw
out two of the Mafia hoods, which are killed by the ‘Romani’ gypsy gang with a
reputation for savagery, Tommy also takes the son of the gangs leader under his
wing, as a bare-knuckle fighter, then in another twist, at the end, the ‘ Mafia’
boss Luca - ‘Adrien Brody’ at his best, arrives, unannounced at the door of the
factory and Tommy goes for his gun, only to find that the Mafia boss had
arranged for the bullets to be taken from his gun, Tommy pulls the trigger and
of course nothing happens! Hence the quote above!!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
