THURSDAY 16th/ NOVEMBER 2017.
I was up early this morning to see little
princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for day in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ – she shot
upstairs and went on the bed with Brenda, meanwhile after a quick freshen up I
shot down to Sabinillas to go to our bank, first, for cash from the machine, I
then walked along to the main ‘ Council’ offices to book two seats on the coach
trip to see the ‘Xmas’ lights in Malaga, at the start of December.
I then called into another office to
confirm the details about the new arrangements for the ‘ Councils’ Chiropodist,
we have our next appointment booked in for the middle of December, as
pensioners, it’s still ‘ free’! Watch this space.
When I returned we had our normal breakfast
of ‘Weetabix’ toast & tea, the shopping list is ready for tomorrow morning
when I’m back out on my travels down in Sabinillas for our weekly shopping.
Finally a little action in ' Calle Mar ' after two weeks of no sign of the Contractors, they have dropped off a brand new 'Portakabin' & large Skip, also the temporary water mains have been connected/ turned on, as you can see outside ' Bar Rojas' I've just been speaking to Mario, the Mayor and he was saying what a shame that they have missed two weeks of the good weather, watch this space. This morning the sun had broken through
earlier and the sky was clear, the breeze had dropped but it was very cold, in
the shade, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 19/20 degs, tomorrow and over the
weekend we are in for more of the same, next week is looking dry & settled,
with sunshine, hovering on the 20 degs mark, overnight 12/13 degs, still no
need for the Oil Heaters but a jumper is required when you are out and about,
watch this space.

This evening for our supper we are having
the rest of the ‘ Beef Casserole’ with a ‘ fry-up’ of the leftover vegetables
& potatoes, tomorrow it’s going to be a ‘ Fish’n Chip Supper’ – homemade,
then on Saturday it will be a ‘ Steak Night’ – on Sunday, for a change, I’m
making my famous ‘ Smoked Chicken & Three Green Bean Risotto’ – using some ‘
Mange Tout – Snow Peas ’ as one of the ‘ Beans’!
Last night after supper we settled down to
watch the first episode of the new series of “ Peaky Blinders “ on BBC TV 2; a
triumphant return, with as much swagger, glamour and excitement as ever, it
opened with four of the family about to be hanged, they were saved as the hangman
was about to pull the leaver! Now that’s how you start a series! ‘Tommy’
obtained official pardons and a ‘ OBE’ – living a life of ‘ Sex, Freedom &
Whisky Sours’ – then all the family/clan received spine-chilling ‘Xmas’ cards: ‘Black
Hand ‘ death threats from the New York Mafia! Tommy twigged that a ‘ Sous Chef’
in his mansion was an assassin in disguise, so killed him with a meat hook/shot
him! He then called all the family together, back to their old haunts in Birmingham,
as they were all living in luxury in the country, at the end of the episode a
hail of bullets cut down two of the family, one looked dead, did the other one
survive?! Watch this space
