We had a nice lie in this morning as the
village, at this time of the year, is very quiet, no children playing, no
church bells ringing, no delivery men dragging the pallets down the street, no
traffic, no neighbours gossiping etc, for our breakfast I had ‘ Campo Fried Eggs
with Crispy Smoked Bacon ‘ with buttered toast, while Brenda had an open on
brown ‘Bacon Butty’- both with mugs of steaming ‘ PG Tips’!
Brenda is washing/shampooing her hair later
while I’m up in the office/ studio on the ‘ WWW’ checking the E-Mails & facebook messages
etc, after reading the news and newspapers, as you can see I’m then typing and
posting today’s Blog!
Yesterday we received our first ‘Xmas’
card! – thanks Zoe & Graham over in Manchester, as they say ‘ your’s’ will
be in the post!
This morning has started a little grey
& overcast but the sun is now breaking through and the sky is clearing, by
lunchtime it’s going to be back in the low 20s, there is a little breeze still
keeping it cooler in the shade, tomorrow and into next week we are in for more
of the same, hovering on 13/14 degs
during the night, watch this space.
For this evenings supper we are having ‘
Grilled Fillet Steaks ‘ cooked on a very hot griddle plate ‘ Med-Rare’ then
left to rest, garnished with seared Asparagus Spears & Button Mushrooms, with
for a change, a sauceboat of a creamy ‘Green Pepper Berry’ sauce, accompanied
with Whole Green Beans and of course twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ – tomorrow evening
it’s my famous ‘ Smoked Chicken & Three Green Bean Risotto ‘
On the sports front this weekend we will be
following all sorts of sport; over in the ‘ Premier League ‘ Liverpool are at
home to Southampton, Everton go down the M1 to play Crystal Palace and Manchester
City have the shorter journey down the M6
to Leicester City, over here in ‘ La Liga’ lowly Leganes welcome
Barcelona and in Madrid it’s the ‘ Derby ‘ game as Real Madrid go across the
city to play Atletico Madrid at their new stadium, we will be watching the
Rugby League World Cup & The Rugby Union Internationals as well as the
Tennis from the ‘ 02 Arena’ in London, finally this afternoon there is Horse
Racing, over the jumps, from Cheltenham!
Last night we channel hopped and after
supper and ended up watching the ‘ Children in Need ‘ programmes on BB TV 1/2.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
