A DRY, WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 1ST / NOVEMBER 2017.  “ ALL SAINTS DAY “

We had a surprise lie in this morning as ‘ Reina’ was not being dropped off early, as usual, Daniela was not feeling very well and had taken the day off work, it’s not a ‘ Bank Holiday’ in Gibraltar but as it’s a ‘National Bank Holiday’ here in Spain “ Dia de Todos los Santos “ the village was also very quiet, no children, no workers, no traffic etc, we then took both the dogs for their first walk of the day, ‘ Charlie’ is still with us as we were a day out on our collection time! He will be collected this evening by Brian. ‘Lolo’ was picked up this morning by Marta & Jose, he’s been very good and no doubt he will be with us again in the future, we will miss ‘ Charlie’ as he’s a dream to have with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ – he’s back in December and for Xmas, ‘ Chispa’ is now on the loose and will come crashing in to see us later, watch this space.

Yesterday the wet stuff didn’t arrive, as forecast, and by the afternoon it was warm & sunny, today has started a little grey & overcast but by lunchtime it’s due to clear and we will be back to 22 degs+ - Thursday, Friday & Saturday are still showing some of the wet stuff but on Sunday and next week we are back to normal, warm & sunny in the low 20s, overnight hovering on the 15/16 degs mark, watch this space.

See the picture below of ‘ St George’s Hall ‘ on Lime street in Liverpool taken last night.

After breakfast of ‘ English Pork Sausage Butties’ smothered in ‘ HP’ Sauce – open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of steaming tea, I made the ‘ Beef Curry ‘ for this evenings supper, to my own recipe, using Chopped Onions & Garlic, Button Mushrooms & Diced ‘Fuji ‘ Apple, five sorts of Curry Powder and four different Curry Pastes, the secret ingredients,( Lea & Perrins & Tabasco ! Ops!!) Tomato Frito & Lime juice and Desiccated Coconut, the diced Beef, from our local Butcher, is tossed in seasoned curry flavoured flour and browned off, then added to the pan with a strong ‘Beef & Vegetable’ stock and left to cook-off’ under the eagle eye of the ‘Second Chef’ – who adjusts the taste and consistency. Its served this evening on a bed of ‘ Brenda’s famous ‘ Basmati Rice’ with all the accompaniments.

We are taking things easy over the next couple of days after all the excitement here in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ – on Friday we are going down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, Brenda is joining me as she is going to the ‘English Bookshop’ for the ‘ Xmas Cards ‘ for all our family & friends. Watch this space.

PS, Don’t forget to keep sending the Post Cards, when you are out on your travels!

This evening after supper we are going to catch up with more of the programmes that we have missed over the last week, using the BBC I Player & ITV Hub.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
