A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 20th/ JUNE 2017.

I was up early this morning to welcome back little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, she’s back tomorrow & Friday, we all then had a nice lie to catch up with our sleep after another very hot night, after showering we had our usual light breakfast of fresh fruit, toast & tea, we then sorted ourselves out for the day and week ahead.

This evening Lee & Daniela are dropping us off at the surgery, for our appointment with the ‘Chiropodist’ after they collect ‘ Reina’ Brenda has made an appointment with her hairdresser, Annie, down in Sabinillas on Thursday lunchtime for a cut & blow, she will go down on the local bus, on Thursday evening we are staying local, we are going up to Bar Rojas for her ‘Birthday Supper’

On Friday morning I will be out on my travels, hopefully in the car, down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, then on Saturday evening we are going down to Puerto de la Duquesa, by taxi, to the ‘ Kinnaree Thai Restaurante’ for her main birthday celebration!

The menu’s for the week are now been agreed, this evening we are having ‘ Cold Smoked Ham’ topped with ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs and finely sliced Green Beans & twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ Tomorrow evening it’s going to be ‘ Escalopes of Chicken Breast – ‘Schnitzel’ style – using local breadcrumbs from the Bakery shop next to the Fish market, served with my famous ‘ Tomato’ salsa & sauté Potatoes, we are out on Thursday, on Friday it will be ‘ Fish’ night, then we are out again on Saturday, Sunday is still TBC! Watch this space.

As forecast, this morning started a little overcast, but the sun is now breaking through, the sky is clearing and there is a little breeze, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 28/29degs, the rest of the week and over the weekend it’s sun all the way, hovering on the 30/31degs+ - next week it’s more of the same, getting a little hotter, watch this space.

See below a picture of the ‘ Snowdon Horseshoe’ looking up from Capel Curig on a fine, still day in North Wales.

This afternoon/early evening we will watch our regular  ‘ Quiz Shows’ after catching the Tennis from the Queen’s Club in London, yesterday the young Canadian teenager Denis Shapovalv upset British number two Kyle Edmund with a terrific performance on day one of the ‘ Aegon Championship’  beating him by 2 sets to 1,  he’s only 18 and was the ‘Wimbledon Junior Champion’ last year, he’s left-handed with a terrific serve, one to watch is the future.

Later we watched the first episode of ‘ Ripper Street ‘- the last in the series after four previous series, it’s based in London in 1888, we need to catch up with the story line from the previous years to be able to get into the characters and story line.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
