I was up to see ‘Reina’ back with us for
the day, we then all had a lie in until the gas-bottle delivery man came down
our street blowing his horn on the lorry! After our normal breakfast of fresh
fruit, toast & tea we got the shopping list ready for tomorrow, when I’m
out on my travels down in Sabinillas.
Next week ‘ Reina’ is with us for only
three days as it’s a Bank Holiday in Gibraltar on Monday and Lee has a change
of shift patterns on Wednesday, the following week in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ we
have ‘ Scooby’ coming back with us for ten days, from the Monday, he joined us
last year.
See below a view this morning taken from the ferry as it leaves the 'landing stage ' at Liverpool on a fine day!

This morning is already very hot &
sunny, there is no breeze so by lunchtime it will be 30degs+ - the forecast for
parts of inland Andalucia is to reach the 40degs+ mark, the region is on ‘Orange’
alert, over the weekend it’s going to be hotter, next week is also looking very
warm & sunny, not dropping below 21 degs at night and during the day the
same as this week, watch this space.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Grilled Chicken Wings’ with ‘ Hasselback’ Potatoes, using 'Duck Fat ' with a nice Mixed Salad on
the side. See below;
Tomorrow night for a change we are having ‘ Grilled Prawns a la Plancha ‘ ( cooked on sea-salt ) – then on Saturday it’s ‘ Steak Night’ – finally on Sunday we will not be roasting, watch this space.

See below two pictures from the past of ' Exchange Station' on Tithbarn Street,in Liverpool, the steam train is leaving for Glasgow (1965) -the taxi-rank is from 1977 and the ' way-out'!
And " Hobbies Toy Shop " in Tarleton Street were my Dad bought all my train sets that he built and set up in my bedroom, around my bed and the walls on a raised scenic layout.
We are now in full ‘hot’ mode, all the fans
are on as we move around, as least as possible, the windows are open, very un-Spanish,
just one light sheet on the bed, drinking lots of water, relaxing and doing
nothing, watching for the creepy crawler’s & mosquito’s, this will last
until the start of September!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
