THURSDAY 22nd/ JUNE 2017. “ BRENDA’S BIRTHDAY “
We had a little lie in this morning after a
very hot night with not much sleep, as we were showing etc, Andrew on ‘ Castle
Radio 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ on
his eponymous ‘Breakfast Show’ played a request that I posted on ‘ Skype’- it was “ Please Don’t Stop Loving Me
“ by Dolly Parton & Porter Wagoner, I heard it on the ‘ Country & Western
Show ‘ on the station the other day, I was going to ask for ‘I Will Always Love
You’ by Dolly! He also sings ‘ Happy Birthday – Feliz Cumpleaños ‘ to a backing
track with lots of singing and clapping! A great start to the Day!!
For our breakfast this morning we had
Brenda’s favourite ‘ Scrambled Eggs ( Campo ) with Smoked Salmon on Toast, I
scramble the beaten eggs ( seasoned) in a hot pan with a knob of butter,
stirred vigorously, meanwhile the ‘ Birthday Girl’ squeezed the local Oranges
for the ‘ Bucks Fizz ‘ ( Cava!)
This morning has started a little overcast,
the sun is just breaking through, its only 26 degs at the moment, by lunchtime
it will be in the low 30s, tomorrow it’s
going to be 32degs+ - then over the weekend, on Sunday its now forecasting some
of the wet stuff, to help clear the air, but still keeping hot, next week we
are in for another very hot & sunny few days in the mid 30s, watch this
space.
At lunchtime we will pop out for a cool ‘
Birthday’ glass of something, when Brenda returns, this evening we are having
supper at ‘ Bar Rojas ‘ where Susanna will look after us, the main ‘Birthday Celebrations ‘ are on Saturday down
in Puerto de la Duquesa’ when we are going for pre-dinner cocktails in the ‘
Heavens Bar’ before the ‘ Kinnaree Thai Restaurante’!
We went down our street to our neighbour 'Bodegon Andaluz' were Andreas looked after us with two glasses of his ' Hose Cava' on the house! We had some very nice light Tapas of Tuna Stuffed Egg, Goat with Almonds & Crab & Corn Salad sat inside in with the air-con on full blast, as it's gone very hot, you can hardly breath in the street!!

The ‘ Birthday Girl ‘ is going down on the
local bus at lunchtime as she has an appointment at the hairdressers with
Annie, for a cut & blow job, she is popping into ‘ Super Sol’ for the
English essentials before catching the bus back up to the village.
She has just missed a 'Skype' video call from Jack & Lyn over in Melbourne, they are going to call, again, tomorrow, they are both well and all the family sent their love & 'Birthday' wishes.

Tomorrow morning
‘ Reina’ is back with us for the day, I will then shoot out on my travels down
to Sabinillas , for the weekly shopping, on the first bus of the day, if I can’t
get the car out of the small square
behind the house again! Watch this space.
