A WARM & SUNNY START TO THE WEEK ON MONDAY IN SUNNY MANILVA:

MONDAY 3rd / APRIL 2017.

We had another little lie in this morning as ‘ Reina’ is still with us, she slept in her duvet all night, she’s being collected later this evening as the folks are flying back into Gibraltar from the UK, she is then back with us for the rest of the week up to Friday. After our normal light breakfast of toast & tea we sorted our week ahead out, we have no appointments, so far, on Friday I will be out on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping.

The sun is out for the start of the week, the sky is blue, there is no breeze so it’s rather pleasant, normal for the time of the year, the rest of the week is staying fine, warm & sunny and the weekend is looking even better, the following week it’s ‘Semana Santa ‘  leading up to Easter Sunday, hopefully it will be dry & sunny, fingers crossed, watch this space.

Over the weekend the ‘ Moffatt’s ‘ have been spotted out & about in the ‘Carboneras’ area below Mojacar; we have just spoken to Tim & Thea on the Skype video, they have booked the ferry back for the 15^th May, so we have decided that if ‘ Mohammed won’t come to the Mountain then the Mountain will go to Mohammed ‘!! We are going up to see them this weekend, we will set off early on Saturday morning and drive up to Mojacar Pueblo/Playa, they are going to book a room in a hotel for us and we will then drive back down to sunny Manilva on Sunday afternoon/evening. We can’t wait to see them for a good catch up and see the area around Mojacar.

This evening for our supper we are having ‘ Cold Roast Lamb’ with a fry-up of the leftover vegetables and the rest of the ‘ Boulangere ‘ potatoes, the rest of the weeks menu’s have yet to be planned, we have Gammon Steaks, Chicken Wings & Calves Liver in stock as well as Chicken Breast’s & Turkey Escalopes, even before a visit to our local butchers! Watch this space.

Just a quick update on the sports results; Manchester City drew 2-2 with Arsenal, Barcelona won 1-4 & Real Madrid won 3-0 and are 2 points clear at the top of ‘ La Liga ‘ above Barcelona, with a game in hand. Roger Federer won 6-3, 6-4 over in the Miami Open Tennis.

Yesterday evening after supper we settled down to watch episode 2 of ‘ Line of Duty ‘ – the main character, the lady Detective, managed to not be decapitated by the chain saw, in fact her attacker, the forensic copper was killed and had his fingers cut off! She then changed some blood samples so as not to incriminate herself, the young accused murderer now has an partial alibi, is the ‘ Balaclava Man ‘ the dead forensic copper? ‘AC -10 ‘ are on the case with the two main investigators , at the same, trying to be promoted, the female one still undercover, more characters are looking suspicious, a decapitated female body has been discovered and lots of questions are left unanswered?!
