A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 5th/ APRIL 2017.

Brenda was up first this morning to see ‘Reina’ back with us for the day, she then took ‘ Scruffy’ out for his morning walk, he arrived last night for his sleep over, with his executive bed, he sleeps on our bed and then his, he was picked up later this morning by Rose after they came back from Adrian’s hospital check up, I stayed in bed for a little lie in as I have a very stiff and painfull shoulder, Brenda has administered the ointment and I’ve taken a painkiller, we had our toast & tea and then sorted ourselves out for the day ahead

Mano is calling in later as we have to go into the Town Hall to re-register some of our Spanish documents, he called in yesterday to check them out, this morning I’ve now arranged a hire car from the regular company in Marbella, we have decided to play safe, our car is really only for local trips, they are dropping off, on Friday, a new ‘ Citron Picasso ‘ – automatic with Sat-Nav! Watch out ‘ Mojacar ‘!!

The weather forecast has changed a little, for the better, it’s now staying warm and sunny for the rest of the week and over the weekend, the threat of the wet stuff has been blown away, it’s a little cooler 18/19degs at the moment, the sun is out and the sky is bright blue, next week for the ‘ Semana Santa ‘ festivities it’s going to get up to 23/24degs,  fingers crossed, watch this space.

.
She held the holder of the ‘ Blue Riband ‘ and briefly the world s largest passenger ship until the completion of her sister ship ‘ Mauretania ‘ – on the 7th/ May 1915 she was sank by a German U-Boat torpedo, off Ireland, a second, unexplained, internal explosion sent her to the seabed in 18 minutes, with the death of 1,198 passengers & crew.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Pan-Seared Calves Liver ‘ with Grilled Pork Sausages & Crispy Smoked Bacon, a rich Red Wine Onion / Shallot Gravy on the side, with Cabbage with Acelgas, Glazed Carrot Batons and the rest of the ‘ Boulangere ‘ Potatoes, tomorrow evening it’s one of our favourites,  ‘Grilled Chicken Wings ‘ with Baked Potatoes.

As I was talking about ‘ Langan’s Brasserie’ yesterday it brought back some memories of the clubs we used to visit at the same time; on one occasion we were in the “ La Valbonne “ – one of the first grand ‘ Discotheques ‘ – owned by the legendary ‘ Club Man’ Louis Brown. I was dancing with a friend’s wife and swung her in the air, we knocked down one of the sound system speakers off the wall and were ‘ Asked to Leave’!

See below the speakers in the club!

The next club we entered was the ‘ Infamous ‘ ‘ Club Apache ‘ were we were shown the door, again, when the same friend’s wife tried to join the up-market, stripper, on the stage, as she could do a better job!!

We also used to go to the famous “ Tokyo Joe’s “ just after it opened, the ‘ Celebrity Greeter ‘ – ‘ Sir Dai Llwelyn ‘ know as ‘Dirty Dai & the Seducer of the Valleys ‘ was a friend of a friend, so we ended up in the ‘VIP ‘ area on the free champagne, those were the days!

After supper this evening we will channel hop and find something to watch, the new ‘ Fiber Optic ‘ cable instillation is getting closer to our house every day, we will be then able to get the new ‘ Black Box ‘ entertainment TV system installed, watch this space.
