As I was talking about ‘ Langan’s Brasserie’
yesterday it brought back some memories of the clubs we used to visit at the
same time; on one occasion we were in the “ La Valbonne “ – one of the first
grand ‘ Discotheques ‘ – owned by the legendary ‘ Club Man’ Louis Brown. I was
dancing with a friend’s wife and swung her in the air, we knocked down one of
the sound system speakers off the wall and were ‘ Asked to Leave’!
See below the speakers in the club!

The next club we entered was the ‘ Infamous
‘ ‘ Club Apache ‘ were we were shown the door, again, when the same friend’s
wife tried to join the up-market, stripper, on the stage, as she could do a better
job!!
We also used to go to the famous “ Tokyo Joe’s
“ just after it opened, the ‘ Celebrity Greeter ‘ – ‘ Sir Dai Llwelyn ‘ know as
‘Dirty Dai & the Seducer of the Valleys ‘ was a friend of a friend, so we
ended up in the ‘VIP ‘ area on the free champagne, those were the days!
After supper this evening we will channel
hop and find something to watch, the new ‘ Fiber Optic ‘ cable instillation is
getting closer to our house every day, we will be then able to get the new ‘
Black Box ‘ entertainment TV system installed, watch this space.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
