A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 9th/ SEPTEMBER 2015.

I was up first this morning as 'Reina' was due back for the day, the workmen arrived on both sites and were into their usual as much noise as possible 'mood' right away! We the had our regular breakfast before getting the day on the go, I shot out to the local bank in 'Calle Mar' for some cash and on the way back called into the 'Tebac' to charge my mobile phone 'Pay as you Go' - I still get a 50% bonus!

Meanwhile Brenda is upstairs in the utility room catching up with her ironing, she has a new iron which she is due to break in at any moment! We are having another at home day taking things easy,at lunchtime we will go for our walk around the village.

We took 'Chispa' as 'Reina' was sleeping, we had a short walk and ended up back at 'Bar Rojas' for a cool drink where we met an English couple,Terry & Jeraldine who are moving down here;they have stayed at the 'Manilva Green Aparthotel'so they know Mano & Carlos - welcome, it was nice to meet you and we look forward to seeing you again.

Today the sun was out early and the sky is blue,there is no breeze and by lunchtime it will reach 26/27 degs - normal for this time of the year,during the night it goes down to a very pleasant 21/22 degs - the humidity is still high so all the fans are still in use around the house. The forecast for the rest of the week and over the weekend is for more of the same and getting a little hotter!

" Castle Radio FM 89.2" is back on air so I tried to get a request played this morning on the breakfast show , no luck so I will try again another day; I asked for " George Thorogood and the Destroyers" - 'Who do you Love' or " The Fabulous Thunderbirds" - 'Tuff Enuff' !! Watch this space.

We had an E-Mail from Andrew Charles the owner/presenter of the morning show to say that he was sorry, he missed our request and will play it tomorrow morning - RESULT !!

So today's Stage 17 of the " Vuelta d'Espana" is the individual 'Time Trial' around Burgos over 39 kms and could decide who wins the tour.

We managed yesterday afternoon to go up on the roof box/chimney for our 'Happy Hour' as the workmen had finished early so we were able listen to the local radio and catch up with our reading, we will try again today!

Tonight for our supper we are having the meal that we prepared yesterday as we could not manage it after our lunchtime 'Tapas's' session!  We will then channel hop after the news to find a film to watch.

PS; At lunchtime in the post another Birthday card arrived for my 70th birthday on the 24th September, this one from Runcorn, Brenda's other sister Norah,she also included a 2016 'His & Hers' calendar which she sends us every year, we find it very useful - thanks!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
