A LITTLE OVERCAST & CLOUDY SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 12th/ SEPTEMBER 2015.








Well this morning our lie in was disturbed by the sound of the race commentator on the PA system announcing the start of the 2nd Annual "Maraton BTT de las Manilva 2015" - mountain bike race, starting and finishing in front of the Town Hall at the top of our street; the race is organised by the 'Club Ciclista Manilva' and has local sponsor's along with the Council. See the pictures below,the Mayor,Diego, is away in San Sabastian promoting Manilva at a 'Food Fair'! More to follow later.

After our usual 'Campo' Poached Eggs on Toast with a mug of steaming tea we sorted ourselves out for the day ahead, Brenda is on a 'cleaning' mode and is at the moment mopping! Meanwhile I'm up in the office on the WWW.catching up with the E-Mails,Facebook messages and 'Tango' comments after reading the world news.

We must wish Tim & Thea ' Bon Viaje' as they set off very early this morning in their Motor Home on their adventure travelling down here to sunny Manilva, by 8-30 am they where passing Birmingham on the M 6 ! Safe journey and we are looking forward to seeing you.

Also today Brenda's sisters, Norah & Jenny, are going on holiday to Cyprus, safe flight and have a 'Helluva' time!



It's a big sports weekend with the next to last Stage 20 of the " Vuelta d'Esapan15" going from San Lorenzo de El Escoril to Cercedilla acroos four mountains over 176 kms.It finish's in Madrid tomorrow. The Motor GP of 'San Marino' at the Misano circuit is this weekend; over here in 'La Liga' today Real Madrid travel to Barcelona to play Mano's team Espanyol while Barcelona go Atl. Madrid in the ' Match of the Day.

In the 'Premiere League' Everton welcome Chelsea,Manchester City travel down the M 1 to play Crystal Palace and the 'Match the Day' over in England is when Liverpool travel along the East Lancashire Road to Old Trafford to play Manchester Utd

Last night over in Cheshire the 'New Moon Pub Company' had the VIP launch of their new venture " Casa Matta Ristorante & Pizzeria' after converting the 'Hanging  Gate' at Wearverham - we wish them all the best in their first Italian 'Job'!

This evening for our supper we are having 'Entrecote' Steak cooked on a very hot griddle plate 'Med-Rare' with sauteed Baby Mushrooms, finely sliced Green Beans.and twice cooked slim 'Frits' We will then catch up with the news and sports round ups from around Europe before finding a film to watch.
