A BREEZY BUT STILL WARM SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 17th/ SEPTEMBER 2015.

We were both up early this morning as 'Reina' was due back with us and Brenda was catching the bus down to Sabinillas as she is going to the hairdressers for the 'full works'- she will catch a later bus back up to the village after some more retail shopping at the same time!

Its still breezy today here in sunny Manilva but its also still very warm with the temperature by lunchtime reaching 31 degs, its getting hotter over the weekend so fingers crossed for next weeks celebrations for my 70th birthday on the 24th September!

At lunchtime after Brenda came back from her hairdresser, Anne, had done a marvellous job, we went along to 'Bar Castillo' for a light al fresco Tapas lunch,Juan looked after us and we had a delightful lunch, our favourite " Mejillones Releanos- Stuffed Mussels' - " Pincho de Gambas - small Prawns on a skewer' & a new classic Spanish Tapas 'Flamenquin - A Ham & soft Cheese deep-fried Bread crumbed mini roll'! They originate from Cordoba and are named after the Flemish invaders with Red Hair - not a lot of people know that - they do now!!

This morning 'Amazon' are due to deliver a package that Josie ( many thanks!)  has sent me from Skelton, they have phoned to confirm as there was an mix up with our address when they first tried, hopefully it will make it this morning as 'Calle Mar' is closed at the moment for work by the Council - they came around the back way, watch this space and fingers crossed!

                      PS; It arrived on time, see blow, watch out for better 'Food' pictures in the future!

Next weeks plan are starting to take shape, first thing on Monday morning I have an appointment at the surgery for my blood tests etc. Then the hire car is being dropped off at 11-00am, 'Reina' is with us on Monday & Tuesday then we have no other bookings in 'Doggy World Heaven for the rest of the week!

Tomorrow morning we are going down to Sabinillas for our weekly shopping with a little bit extra to keep us going over next week and the weekend!  .

On Wednesday morning we are shooting across to Estepona to our Bank and some more last minute shopping as Tim & Thea are due to arrive on their travels down here in their new Motor Home, they are staying at the 5*' Bella Vista' site just past Sabinillas on the coast, we are calling in on Friday morning to make some arrangement's.

Last evening we popped out down to Duquesa to book a table at our favourite sea food restaurant " Restaurante Macues" on Thursday evening, we have no plans for the rest of time that they are here, we will just take each day as it comes! The champagne is on ice, a special bottle of " Dom Ruinart Rose "  which we have been saving for this special occasion - you are not 70 every day!!

To finish the weeks celebrations  we have booked a table at another of our favourite restaurants " Cocomo" for a late Sunday lunch. Watch this space.

Back to normal for now, we having grilled Chicken Wings for our supper this evening then tomorrow night its going to be " Goujons of Hake Fillet" in 'Cruzcampo Beer Batter' for a change. On Saturday we are treating ourselves to " Tournedos Rossini" and on Sunday a 'Roast Leg of Lamb'!

Our 'Happy Hour' will be as normal for now but next week we will be out and about on the 'Costa Del Sol playing!

After supper this evening we will channel hop to find something to watch.

                                                                 You can only dream !
