A OVERCAST & GREY SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 7th/ SEPTEMBER 2015.

I was up early this morning after we all had a good nights sleep, Charlie slept on the floor,'Freddie & Bentley on their beds and 'Reina' who also stayed for the night and is with us all day today instead of Tuesday! I took 'Charlie' out first for his walk and we we got back he had his tablet ( Epilepsy) and then his normal breakfast ,meanwhile I then took 'Freddie & Bentley' for their walks and when we got back they had their regular breakfasts,finally it was time to take 'Reina' out for her morning walk! No breakfast as she eats later!!

'Freddie & Bentley have just been collected, they are now back with us on Thursday for a sleep over when 'Reina' is also with us for the day. At lunchtime its 'Charlie's' turn to be picked up just as the two 'Samoyeds' with Samantha are coming to see us about being with us this coming weekend?!

Well they arrived with John & Samantha, they are the two most beautiful, large 'Samoyeds' - ' Charlie' who is a English girl and 'Dallas' who is a Spanish boy! The folks are from Yorkshire and have had 'Charlie' from a puppy, over eight years ago, 'Dallas' is four and they took him off am owner that could not look after him! So we are waiting to hear from them about this weekend or another one at the start of October - watch this space, See the picture below of John with 'Dallas' & Samantha with 'Charlie' !!

In the village, which looks like a rubbish tip, the Council workforce were out in numbers collecting the rubbish,cleaning the streets and the park and then washing down everywhere with the water cannon! All three stages are being taken down and the locals 'Sonbrajos' are starting to disappear, over the next week the bunting,lights and canopies will also be packed away for another year! Most of the bars along 'Calle Mar 'are closed today after the weekends celebrations.

Today is definitively an at home day,taking things easy and catching our breath after a 'Helluva' weekend; also the weather forecast for the start of the week is not looking too good as we have some of the wet stuff about to hit us for the first time in over six months! The cold and wet front that as been hitting Spain is due to come down to the Costa Del Sol by lunchtime,it was spitting this morning as I was out on the dog runs. The week is starting to pick up again, when I say cold its down to 26 degs so the rain is warm!!

Over the weekend on the sports front both Spain & England won and play again over the next couple of days, in the' Italian Gran Prix' Lewis Hamilton lead from start to finish and increased his lead in the Championship; today's Stage 16 of the " Vuelta d'Espana15" from Luarca to the top of the Ermita Del Alba is over 185 kms and takes in 7 mountain climbs on the way! See the profile below;

Our 'Happy Hour' returns this afternoon so we will catch up with the reading and listen to 'Castle Radio FM 89.2' which is back on air from this morning after solving their computer system problems!

For our supper this evening we are also 'back'on the 'Chicken Curry' We will then catch up with all the world news, sports round ups and the next few days weather forecasts before finding something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
