A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY.

SATURDAY 1st/ JUNE 2019.

We had nice, long, lie in this morning, as from tomorrow and all of next week we will be up and about early, after freshening up, Brenda is later washing/shampooing her hair, we had breakfast, as Brenda was on the rota we had ‘ Campo’ Poached Eggs ‘ on Toast- brown for her- with mugs of strong ‘PG’ Tips Tea.

In ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ first thing on Sunday morning, ‘Lolo’ is being dropped off by Marta & her husband, she’s with us for nearly three weeks, as the folks are going to Mexico on holiday, she is due to be picked up on Friday 21st June, the day before Brenda’s birthday. Yesterday evening we had a call from little ‘ Scoobies’ owner, he’s joining us next Wednesday for a short three day sleep-over, meanwhile ‘ Chispa’ is back out & about after being on – ‘lock-down’ for a few weeks, as it’s that time of the year!

The sun was our first thing this morning and the sky is clear & blue, there is a slight breeze, keeping it a little cooler in the shade, by this afternoon/ evening it’s due to reach 25 degs+ - on Sunday it’s going to be a little warmer, next week, from Monday it will be 30 degs+ - the same on Tuesday, then for the rest of the week and over next weekend it’s staying very warm & sunny, with a few patchy clouds at times, hovering in the high 20s, overnight on the 16/17 degs mark, the following week is looking ‘ Hot’! Watch this space.

On Monday morning I’m going across to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ for my nine month review/check up with the ‘Prostate Consultant’ – then on Tuesday morning I’m back at the ‘ Estepona Hospital’ at the ‘Physiotherapy Department’ for more extensive treatment on my left-hand, with the ‘Head Physio’ – Encarni, for the next three days and three more weeks!

As usual on Friday morning I will be back out on my travels, down to Sabinillas for our weekly shopping, I’m also going to make an appointment at the main ‘ Medical Centre’ with our Doctor, ‘Natalia’ for Brenda for a review/check up etc.

This weekend, on the sports front it’s all happening; this afternoon we will be watching  horse racing as it’s the “ The Derby “ from Epsom Downs, yesterday Frankie Dettori won ‘The Oakes’ on Anapurna.

Later it’s the penultimate ‘Stage 20’ of the “ Giro d ‘ Italia “ in the Dolomites over 194 kms, with five consecutive climbs, from Feltre to Croce D’Aune-Monte Avena. See the route below.

This evening here in Madrid at the new 68,000  capacity “ Wanda Metropolitano Stadium “ of ‘Atletico Madrid’ it’s the Final of the “ UEFA Champions League “ as Liverpool play Tottenham Hotspur!!

So this evening we are going down in a taxi, picking up on the way our friends Kevin & Caroline outside their apartment in Sabinillas, as we are going to the ‘Kinnnaree Thai Restaurante ‘ overlooking the ‘Puerto de la Duquesa Marina’ for supper. Watch this space.

Tomorrow after ‘Lolo’ arrives for her holiday, we will be taking things very easy, at lunchtime we will have a nice cool drink & Tapas at ‘Bar Castillo’ after taking her for her first walk, then in the early evening we have arranged a ‘ Skype’ video call with Sandra & Bill over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, for a news catch-up!

For our supper on Sunday evening I’m cooking to order my now famous “ Smoked Chicken & Three Green Bean Risotto “  as ‘Roasting’ is off the menu for now!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
