A EVEN HOTTER AND VERY SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 30th/ JUNE 2019.

We had another very hot and uncomfortable night, this morning after a little lie in with treated ourselves to a ‘ Tasty’ Breakfast, I had my favourite ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty ‘ on buttered White Bread and Brenda requested ‘ Mushrooms on toast ‘ ( Brown) – which I sliced and cooked in the Bacon juices, topped with a dash of ‘HP’ Brown sauce, with mugs of strong tea,  to set us up for the long, hot, day ahead.

Last night, after watching the ‘Glastonbury Festival ’ – various a bands, finishing with  “ The Killers “ – from the USA, on the ‘Pyramid Stage ‘

As were going to bed, late, I, as usual, checked out the ‘ WWW’ – there was a ‘Facebook’ message from Leah, little ‘ Miss Bella’s’ mum, she was at the new ‘La Linea Hospital’ with her son, who had a nasty accident, earlier, while riding a ‘Segway’ – he’s broken his arm/wrist in three places, so she was asking us if we could look after ‘Bella’ – she has just been dropped off by a family friend, this morning, so we are waiting to hear for how long, as she was due back with us for two days, from tomorrow, she’s settled in and is her usual ‘ Happy’ little self, watch this space.

This morning has started very hot & sunny, down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sun broke through earlier and it’s cloudless, with a bright blue sky, just a very light breeze, making no difference, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 32 degs+ - the hottest so far this year, next week is looking the same, very hot & sunny, hovering in the low 30s, only down to 18/19 degs during the night, with a few patchy clouds at times, watch this space.

The ‘ Muscatel Grapes ‘ are nearly ready for picking! See below.

Over in Canada, Sandra & Bill, with friends, have been visiting ‘Lanner’ over in Lexington, Ottawa, where she lives, works and goes to University, over the weekend, see below.

More sport watching this afternoon; Tennis, Ladies Football, Basketball from London, the ‘Grand Prix’ over in Austria etc, as well as all the usual Sunday programmes.

At lunchtime we will be listening to the ‘Pete Black Retro Roadshow’ on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ as Brenda tries to win this month’s ‘Mug’ on the ‘ Film Quiz’ Watch this space.

For our supper we are still keeping it as simple and as plain as possible, during the hot weather, with Brenda still on the ‘ Head Chef’s’ rota, this evening we are having  ‘Slices of Beef Entrecote’- seasoned and smeared with Dijon Mustard- flash-cooked on a very hot griddle-plate, with seared Button Mushrooms, a Baked Potato and a little Mixed salad.

After supper last night we watched the next exciting episode of  “ Killing Eve “  with only two killings this week, tonight we are going to watch the new series ‘Beecham House’ on ITV, we will tomorrow afternoon then catch the pen-ultimate episode of “ Gentleman Jack “ on the ‘BBC I-Player’

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
