A STILL VERY ' CLAMMY' & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 27th/ JUNE 2019.

We had a very bad night, first it was very hot, so it was not good for sleeping, at the same I have a ‘Gammy’ right leg and a ‘ Wonky’ left arm, then to top it, early this morning I had the most severe ‘ Cramp’ in my left leg/foot, the most excruciating pain, I was screaming out & swearing ( in English!) – I don’t know what the neighbours are thinking?!

Brenda was up first and after a quick freshen up, she shot out to catch the local bus down to           Sabinillas, to go to the main ‘ Medical Centre’ to update her documents and chase up an appointment,  while back at the house I was having a nice lie in, then the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ rang with my appointment at the ‘ Dermatology Department ‘ for the 25th/ July ?! I explained what the problem was and was then advised to go across to the ‘ Accident & Emergency Department’ straight away!! I called Brenda and she came back, I then dropped her at the ‘ Medical Centre’ and shot off across, again, to the Hospital.

Here the ‘ Tale’ gets better! I signed in at the Reception, at 10-30am, and was immediately called in to see the ‘ Triage Doctor ‘ – she then immediately ‘ Blue Lined ‘ me! I followed/walked the ‘ Blue Line’ and as I entered the waiting room I was called in to see the ‘Consultant Specialist ‘ – who straight away diagnosed that it’s “ Herpes Zoster “ a virus that has been caused by the antibiotics, as a possible side-effect!! It’s the same family as ‘ Shingles & Chickenpox ‘ – it effects the left side of the body, as the blood flows, so our Doctor, Natalia, was correct in her initial thoughts!

The ‘ Consultant ‘ checked all my various prescriptions/antibiotics and prescribed a special antibiotic and a cream, on a seven day course, she then gave me a document to get a priority appointment at the ‘Dermatology Department’ – for a review/check up,  which I had to go across to the other side of the Hospital to the Reception, via the underground car park ( now Free!) – where they re-arranged it for next week the 3rd July!!  ‘RESULT “ at 11-30am!!

Back at the house Brenda has just popped along to local Chemists, in ‘Calle Mar’ for the antibiotic & cream, which is just about to be administered by my ‘Private Nurse ‘!

This morning has started a little overcast and very ‘ close’ as it’s still op to 26 degs+ - the sun is just breaking through and clearing the haze, there is a very light breeze, so it’s very ‘ clammy & humid’ – to say the least, tomorrow and Saturday will be the same, then on Sunday and into next week it’s going hotter, up in the low 30s, - then it will hover in the high 20s over next weekend, watch this space.

See below yesterdays ‘Red Alert ‘

As I was coming back up though the vine fields, the locals were tending to this year s ‘ Moscatel Grapes’ – as they near picking, they are ‘ Ground Grapes’ – matured on the hard/dry earth, as you can see in the picture below;

In ' Doggy World Heaven ' next week, little ' Miss Bella' is back with us on Monday & Tuesday, then on Thursday 'Scruffy' is with us for the evening, as Adrian has his first appointment for radiotherapy.

For the rest of the day we are taking things very easy and relaxing after all the excitement, yesterday evening we had a lovely supper at ‘ Cafeteria Nacho’ as the Red Sunset & Sky was over sunny Manilva, as the World’ passed us by, with lots of locals sat outside in the cooling evening air,  ‘Nacho’ was for a change busy, as he was one of the only bars open!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
