I was up early this morning and after a
quick freshen I shot off on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly
shopping, as the sunrise was coming up above the Mediterranean, Brenda had a
little lie in, little prince ‘Percy’ spent the night on the bed with us, Brenda
then took him for his first walk of the day, down to the ‘Mirador’ -keeping to
the shady side of the street, he’s full of energy, eating well and now drinking
some water, he’s real character and such good company, he now likes to lie on Brenda
when the TV is on!
I had a quick toast & tea in ‘ ItZabar’
before ‘ Mercadona’ opened, the masses have left, so it’s nearly back to
normal, still busy, but no crushing at the check-outs, the roads are a lot
quieter also, I picked up the local newspapers from the ‘English Bookshop’ – I then
dropped down into ‘Puerto de la Duquesa’ to call into the ‘English Butchers’
where I picked up a very nice joint of Pork, with the fat still on, for ‘ Crackling’-
for our first ‘ Sunday Roast’ in a while.
I came back to the far end of the promenade,
in Sabinillas, to call into the local market for our fresh flowers and two wall
plants, finally I topped up the car with petrol, before shooting back up the
hill through the still very green/leafy vine fields, to unload back at the
house.
The " Disney Magic " has just berthed at the Pier Head, for the day, in a rather cloudy/grey Liverpool, see below.
This morning has started brighter than the past few days, the sun broke through earlier and the clouds are clearing, by lunchtime it’s forecast to be 30 degs+ - with a light breeze, tomorrow morning it will be a little cooler, just right for the ‘ Marathon Mountain Bike Race’ – but now the ‘ wet-stuff’ is due to hit by the evening, still 27 degs, on Sunday it’s more of the same, with patchy rain, I will have to get out the waterproof jacket & trainers, as next week is looking like it’s in for the week, with moderate to heavy rain showers at all times, still hovering in the high 20s, by next weekend settling back down to normal, for the time of the year, warm & sunny, down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ Watch this space.

On the menu front, the ‘Head Chef ’with the
very able help of ‘Second/Vegetable Chef’ is starting to plan more of our

A La Meuniere’ style, with Florets of Broccoli & Garden Peas, and ‘Parsley
New’ Potatoes, accompanied with ‘ Hollandaise’ sauce.
On Saturday it will be a large ‘ Rib of
Beef’ – on the bone, grilled on a very hot griddle-plate ‘ Med-Rare’ – then left
to rest, before taking it off the bone and carving it into fingers ‘ French ‘
