A WARM & NOT EXPECTED SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 9th/ SEPTEMBER 2018.

After taking little prince ‘Percy’ out for his first walk of the day, before the ‘wet-stuff’ was due to arrive, ( see below ) - we then when we came back had a quick toast & tea, before getting today’s ‘ Roast ‘ on the go. ’Chispa’ has been in to see us all this morning, they are getting on very well, ‘Percy’ is very easy going a little ‘ Happy Chappie’ all the time, he’s also easy to walk, as he dosn’t pull and walks at our ‘Pensioner Pace’ !

The forecast was for thunder and heavy rain storms, on the news last night, in fact it’s stayed dry and later the sun broke through, reaching 29 degs, this afternoon, next week is still looking rather ‘Damp’ to say the least, with moderate to heavy rains showers, everyday, still hovering in the high 20s, with the sun braking though at times, with a little breeze coming along also, to keep in cooler in the shade, watch this space.

We then got today’s ‘ Sunday Roast’ ready;  “ Roast Loin of Pork’ – boned & rolled, with ‘Crackling’ – a Mixed Herb Stuffing on the side, the ‘ Vegetable Chef’ was given ‘ full-reign’ – so we have Crushed Baby Carrots & Turnips, Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets in a three Cheese sauce, Braised Swiss Chard ( for our Greens) & Garden Peas, as well as some of her famous ‘ Mashed Potato’ – not forgetting the ‘ Duck-Fat’ Roast Potatoes, which will go in the oven this evening, I then made my now famous, finger-licking ‘ Pan Gravy’  - to be accompanied with a ‘ Bramley Apple’ Sauce, of course !

Just a very quick sports update; today’s Stage 15 of the ‘La Vuelta 2018 ‘ goes from Ribera De Arriba to Lagos De Covadonga’ over 178 kms, with another summit finish, yesterday Britain’s Simon Yates retook the race leaders ‘Red Jersey’ with a spectacular summit finish! Tomorrow is a ' rest day' before Tuesday's individual Time Trail over 32 kms.

After supper this evening we will settle down to watch the 4th episode of the “ Bodyguard “ – the very exciting series, and hopefully find out if the ‘Home Secretary’ is alive or dead, after the terrorist bomb attack last week, as to who’s behind the plot, we will have to wait & see!

Yesterday the new ‘ IPTV’ system was not coming online, so we missed all last night programmes, overnight all the ‘ IT Boffins ‘ have fixed the problem, world-wide, so fingers crossed for tonight, as we are now back online!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
