A WET & WINDY SUNNY MANILVA AHEAD ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 12th/ APRIL 2018.

                                                                                            Tim, Malcolm & Bill !

I was up early this morning to see little princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, as usual, she shot upstairs and got under the duvet on our bed, to join us for a little  ‘ surprise’ lie in this morning, as we are now not going across to Estepona as we had planned, as we have another major problem with the car! ( See below )

Yesterday afternoon I went down to the ‘Council’ underground car park to go down to the main ‘ Medical Centre’ for my ‘ B12 Vitamin ‘ second injection, as I went to start the car there was no clutch pedal, it was down on the floor with no pressure?! I shot back up to the house and called Pedro, at the garage, he came and picked me up, at the same time I rang the surgery and cancelled the appointment, He checked the car out and soon discovered a pool of ‘ Dark Stuff’ under the front of the car, I drove his car to the garage and he brought our car along, by putting it into 1st gear, then starting the engine and driving slowly!

We are waiting to hear the ‘ bad news’ – watch this space. When Rose & Adrian collected ‘ Scruffy’ later, we bought the car off Rose, they reminded us that it had a new clutch pedal etc just before we bought it?!

We didn’t have a very good night’s sleep, this morning after freshening up, Brenda shot off to the local sub-post office to post a birthday card, before the rain storms hit us later, when she returned I had prepared our Breakfast of ‘ Campo’ Scrambled Eggs on Brown toast for her, I had a ‘ Toasted Campo Fried Egg Butty’ – with mugs of strong, sweet, tea, to strengthen us for the day ahead!

This morning has started grey & overcast with black clouds on the horizon, a stiff breeze is bringing in the rain storms, strong winds and more snow on the mountains, later, all across Spain, with lots of the ‘ Regions’ on high alert, over the next two days! The overall temperature is down to 14 degs  by lunchtime, on Saturday the storms are forecast to have passed and the sun will return to the ‘ Costa Del Sol ‘ – hopefully! We are then in for a period of dry, warm and sunny weather from Sunday and into next week it’s now looking warm, sunny & settled, rising to 23 degs+ watch this space.

Tomorrow morning I’m now having to go down to Sabinillas on the local bus, as it dosn’t run on Saturday, for our weekly shopping, I will have to wrap up in the waterproofs and brave the storms, I will then get a taxi back up to the house.

For our supper this evening we are now having the rest of the ‘ Beef Casserole’ with the leftover vegetables and ‘ Mashed’ potato,  the weekend Menu’s, from tomorrow are unchanged.

Last night after supper we watched the second leg of the ‘ Quarter-Final UEFA Champions League’ as Real Madrid welcomed Roma to the ‘Santigo Bernabeu Staduim ‘ with a 3 away goal, first leg lead, Roma then went on to pegging the tie to 3-3 thriller, scoring 3 away goals themselves, in the 97 minute, after the veteran Italian goalkeeper ‘ Buffon’ was sent off for ‘ aggressive reaction’ to the English referee ‘ as he was playing his final game in the ‘ Champions League’ Ronaldo’ scored the winning penalty, before bearing his chest/abbs to the adoring fans!

Today sees the start of the 3-Day ‘ Grand National’ meeting at Aintree, we will be following the racing on the excellent ‘ ITV’ coverage, this year could see the first female jockey win the ‘ Grand National’ as there are 3 ladies riding in this year race, all with a chance, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
