A OVERCAST, GREY, CLOUDY & COLD SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND.

FRIDAY 20th/ APRIL 2018.

We were up even earlier this morning and after a very quick freshen up we set off on our travels across to the ‘Costa del Sol Hospital’ for Brenda’s appointment at 9-30 am for her ‘ Ecocardigram ‘ – we first went to the reception/bookings desk where a very helpful lady found out/spotted what the problem has been with Brenda’s arranged appointment  with the ‘ Heart Consultant, that we missed back in December, we had been given the wrong documents/appointment details, she has now re-registered Brenda in the system and on the way out we confirmed that she is now on the waiting list, they will ring us with a new appointment, we had to wait a little while for the ‘ Ecocardigram’ as initially we went to wrong the department! Fingers crossed for a good result eventually, watch this space.

On the way home we called into the local market at the far end of the promenade and picked up some fresh flowers and wall plants.

PS; The ‘ Cardiology Department’ have just confirmed Brenda’s appointment with the ‘ Heart Consultant ’ towards the middle of May – “ RESULT “

This morning it was grey, overcast, cloudy and windy as we set off across to Marbella, along the coast road, past a stormy Mediterranean, the problem at the moment is that we can’t get two days the same, by lunchtime it will be only 16/17 degs+ - over in the ‘UK’ – it’s 10 degs higher, the hottest April since 1949! Over the next two days we are in for more of the same, with the threat of ‘April’ Showers, always in the air, from Monday and all of next week it’s now looking a little warmer at times, with sunshine/clouds on most days, but still the wet stuff is in the forecast, watch this space.

At lunchtime ‘ Nelly ‘ is due to be dropped off, for her week’s Holiday ( 7/8 days) with us in Doggy World Heaven’ – ‘Chispa’ won’t be calling as she’s on ‘lock-down’ - as it’s the wrong time of the year, all the local dogs have been waiting outside her door! ‘Reina’ is back with us on Monday/ Tuesday as normal.

She’s just arrived, as you can see below, she’s got her coat on, as it’s a little cold out, she’s brought her favourite sofa cover with her, and her own full-menu of food, as well as some treats from the ‘house-menu’ no doubt, we love a girl with a good appetite!

Next week we will be out & about, again, on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ as on Monday lunchtime I have my appointment, back across at the Hospital for my re-view/check up with the ‘ Prostate Consultant’ – then first thing on Tuesday morning I’m across to the local Hospital over in Estepona for my re-arranged ‘X-Ray’ on my hand.

I will be down in Sabinillas on Friday morning for our weekly shopping, then on Saturday evening we going along the coast to ‘La Paloma’ - as it’s ‘Daniel’s’ 40th Birthday party, which she is having at her new/grand Villa, high above the coast, on a spectacular position overlooking the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa! Daniela & Lee have split the villa in half and her Mum & Dad live in the other half, so it’s a ‘ House Warming ‘party at the same time!

Then on Sunday we are going across to our favourite ‘Kokomo’ restaurant for their excellent ‘ Sunday Roast Lunch’ with our friends Kevin & Caroline, who are over at their apartment down in Sabinillas for 10 days, they are also going to join us for supper, one evening, up at 'Casa Sexton’

Next week is going to be one ‘ Helluva’ week!!  Watch this space.

This evening for our supper we are having ‘ Posh Fish’n Chips’- Fillets of Hake’ coated in ‘ Cruzcampo Beer Batter’ – deep-fried in Vegetable Oil, served with ‘Mushy Peas’ and of course twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ – with lots of Lemon Wedges on the side and accompanied with my famous Homemade Tartar sauce. On Saturday it’s ‘Steak Night’ and then on Sunday we have decided to ‘Roast’ a local Chicken!

After supper we will settle down to watch the usual Friday evening shows.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
