A NOW VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF A ' HELLUVA' WEEK

MONDAY 23rd/ APRIL 2018.  “ ST GEORGES DAY “

I was up first to welcome back little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, she shot into her duvet, ‘Nelly’ has slept all night on her sofa, after a little lie in we freshened up, Brenda took ‘ Nelly ‘ out for her first walk of the day and I got our breakfast ready, ‘Toasted Smoked Bacon Butties’-  as usual, open on Brown for Brenda, with mugs of strong tea.

I was then time to head off across to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital just past Marbella, for my appointment with the ‘Prostate Consultant’ for my six month review/check up, we first checked at the main reception/bookings desk and confirmed Brenda’s new appointment with the ‘ Heart Consultant’ in the middle of May, we then walked  along to the ‘Urology Department’ where I was called in 20 minutes early and came out 2 minutes later with a ‘ thumbs-up’ result from the ‘Consultant’! My readings/levels have dropped and he confirmed that my ‘Benign Prostate’ is now normal. “ RESULT “

We then shot back along the cost road  and dropped down into ‘ Castillo de la Duquesa’ and called into ‘La Taberna 2’ for a nice, cool, celebration drink, sat on the veranda in the hot sunshine, Carlos served us, his wife Anna Marie is now also working there, Mano came and joined us as he had just  dropped Carlos off. Anna, Mano’s wife, is returning from the UK this evening.

Tomorrow morning, first thing, after ‘Reina’ is dropped off, I’m shooting  across to the local Hospital in Estepona for the appointment at the ‘X-Ray’ Department, on my left-hand, before seeing the ‘Trauma Consultant’ in May. Watch this space.

As we set off this morning it was very close, overcast and with a grey cloudy sky, yesterday evening we had the most severe ‘fork-lightning’ storm, behind the village up in the mountains, it went on for over half an hour with the accompanying thunder, this morning it stayed overcast and close but later the sun broke through, with a slight breeze, by this afternoon it will be 19/21 degs+ - the rest of week is now looking slightly better, with warm sunshine, with just the threat of the ‘ April Showers’ in the air, the weekend, when we are out & about’ is now looking very warm & sunny, with ‘May’ just around the corner, watch this space.

See below ‘ Spain’ this morning.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Cold-Cuts of the Roast Chicken’ from last night, with a selection of vegetables and the rest of the ‘ Goose-Fat’ Roast Potatoes, the menu’s for the rest of week, up to Friday have yet to be discussed/planned, watch this space.

After supper we will channel hop to find something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
